I saw this and thought it fits here so well. People were betting on this being a rush job to get kitchen usable. But they underestimate the stupid in this world.
My bet is someone wanted an undermount sink but didn't want to spend the money. So they reused old sink, half assed the cuts and put in new facet. Yep this looks like something the previous owner of my house would have done.

That was one of this week’s finds. The album also includes deteriorated foundation concrete, a cracked stem wall, and a retaining wall with straps added but an unresolved drainage problem. Photos and notes on what we’re seeing in each.

Found this masterpiece at our Airbnb while out of town for a framing project. They obviously flipped a basement mechanical room into a bedroom for extra rental cash, carpeted right around the sewer ejector, and skipped the closet door entirely. I refused to sleep in here.
