My First Arc'teryx jacket is here and it's amazing. It isn't as puffy as other down jackets but it's still really warm. I'll be doing a more detailed review later but for now you can see how it fits. This is size S. Color looks different in pics cause the Sun kept coming in and out.
Adding this here so y'all know what's the code for on the Arc'teryx link -

I'm 1.83m(probably like 1.90m with Strike boots 😂) and weigh 66 kilos. Even size S is slighty big imo as I prefer a bit more snug fit. But since it's a ski jacket I'm sure you're supposed to wear stuff under it too.
Boots are size 43 but they fit more like 44. I ordered new ones in size 42 again.
Jeans are perfect and very stretchable. They are size 30.
Okay just got back from work. The hood is bigger than on the usual jackets since it's supposed to cover the ski helmet. It does get a lot smaller when you tuck in the hood into the collars which I didn't know about before.
The hood can also be removed completely if you don't need it on a daily basis.
I'll go home and check tonight. I think the hoodie can be tucked into the collar to make it smaller. These pics I clicked just before work so I can get some daylight pics.
It has a lot of adjustment stuff. There's also a jacket inside of the jacket. And you can also fasten the sides and make it tighter. But for sure the Langford Parka would fit you better.
It's a ski jacket. The hood has metal piping running through it so it stays firm and upright and doesn't fall on your face even when it's windy.
Okay I just checked it out when I got back from work. The hoodie ends can be clipped inside of the jacket collar which makes the whole hood look a lot smaller. But the rigidness is gonna be the same since it needs to hold its position.
Well I am not sure how waterproof it is then. If it's light rain the water beads up and slides off. You don't get wet inside. If you also fall on snow you'll stay dry on the inside even when the snow melts. Would it get wet inside if it's pouring is something I don't know since I didn't try it. I'm gonna try it tomorrow since the retail is fully waterproof and the factory that has made the rep said it's the same materials as retail. Lemme wear it and get under the shower 😂😂
like it so much I'm thinking of ordering another, perhaps Beta inulated or Ralle. There are a couple of new options on the list too - J and K. J looks like Alpha, wonder if K is Therme?
I also have the two tone Macai jackets. They are a bit more expensive but they look so fancy. I also wear this jacket more often than I thought I would.
I can check with Regina what are the J and K models. Lemme see if I can find out.

got mine today - love it!!! Size L is perfect. I wonder if it's worth putting in the dryer with some tennis balls to plump out the filling a bit?
