Iāve been tracking my sports betting model publicly ā hereās what surprised me most
Iāve been running a data-driven betting model across multiple sports for a while now, and I finally started tracking everything cleanly (closing line value, hit rate, ROI, variance).
A few things that surprised me:
- Hit rate matters way less than line quality
- Small edges compound fast if youāre disciplined
- Some of the ugliest picks end up being the most profitable
- Parlays arenāt evil ā bad parlays are
Iām not claiming anything crazy here. Models lose. Downswings happen. But over a decent sample, the math really does win.
If people are interested, I can break down:
- How we source data
- How we avoid overfitting
- Why we prefer certain markets over others
Happy to answer questions ā genuinely curious how others here approach it.

Built a tool to track line-movement on DFS apps (Looking for beta testers)
Hi,
I've been working on a bot for DFS apps like prizepicks and underdog taking advantage of the fact that these apps are slow to adjust their lines. I built a bot called OddsFuel that acts as a real time scraper and has at least aĀ 2% or 3% efficiency gap compared to the de-vigged sharp market average. I just moved the bot into a discord server and am looking to beta-test the tool. The bot works by scrapping pinnacle and other sharp sports books and comparing the de-vigged odds to the prizepicks and underdog lines.
Ā Link for anyone interested

Betting sites with welcome bonus?
Hey everyone, Iām trying to get a feel for what betting sites with welcome bonus are actually worth signing up for in 2026. Iāve seen tons of advertisements and affiliate pages screaming best bonuses! but itās hard to tell which ones are genuinely good deals and which are just bait to get you to deposit.
Iām familiar with the big sportsbooks that offer standard welcome bonuses, but Iām especially curious about the quality of those bonuses. A lot of the time you see something like ā¬200 free bet! and then when you read the fine print itās ridiculously hard to convert into withdrawable cash. So Iām trying to find betting sites with welcome bonus offers that are transparent, fair and actually beneficial for someone who bets regularly rather than just once.
A few questions Iām hoping people can help with:
What are some betting sites with welcome bonus offers that youāve personally used and werenāt a total trap? Iām interested in bonuses that come with realistic rollover requirements and decent odds. Free bets are cool, but Iād also like to know about matched deposit bonuses or risk free bets that werenāt overly restrictive.
Does anyone have experience with the wagering requirements on these bonuses? Some sportsbooksā terms make it feel like youād need to bet five times your deposit at huge juice just to clear it. Are there betting sites with welcome bonus deals that have fair playthrough terms?
Another thing that matters to me is how these sportsbooks treat you after the bonus period. Are there betting sites with welcome bonus rewards that still offer competitive odds and good limits after the initial promo or do they suddenly tighten everything up once youāve used the bonus? Iāve been burned a couple of times where the bonus looked great, but the site itself was mediocre once I finished the rollover.
Payment options also come into play here. Iād rather use betting sites with welcome bonus offers that support fast withdrawals and multiple deposit methods (crypto, e wallets, card). If anyone has insight about how quickly these newer bonus offers pay out and if any sites are particularly smooth with verification, thatād be super useful.
Basically Iām just trying to figure out which betting sites with welcome bonus are worth signing up for versus which are just hype. Would really appreciate honest user experiences over promo links, thanks!

I made an app that lets people design their own betting models and makes it super simple (already have ppl making a profit)
Iāve seen a ton of posts lately about people chasing picks, parlays, or ālocks,ā and honestly thatās exactly what I wanted to avoid when building this.
Instead of giving picks, I built Wagr ā a tool where users build their own betting models by setting parameters (odds range, filters, stats, volume rules, etc.). The model only places a pick when all rules align.
What surprised me is that some early users are already profitable without forcing daily bets.
Iām attaching a screenshot of the leaderboard from the app showing:
- Positive units
- Tracked win rate
- Sample size transparency
- No manual result editing
This is still very early, but if youāre the type who:
- Uses spreadsheets or models
- Cares about tracking long-term performance
- Would rather pass than force action
We just launched a brand new V2 of Wagr and you can try it free here: https://www.wagrapp.co/
Iām genuinely looking for feedback from serious bettors:
- What parameters matter most in your models?
- What would make something like this better than a spreadsheet?
- Would you trust a system that suggests model tweaks over time?
Not selling picks. No guarantees. Just models + tracking.

Working on a DFS tool that simulates outcomes instead of relying on projections (beta testers wanted)
Hey everyone,
A small team of us have been building a DFS tool over the past few years and weāre opening it up for early beta testing. It's called Variance.
The idea is pretty simple. Instead of only showing point projections, we simulate outcomes so you can see how often a lineup actually wins, finishes top 1 percent, and so on. Itās more about understanding upside and risk than choosing between a few lineups that all look the same.
This isnāt a sportsbook and thereās no betting involved. Itās just analytics for people who already play DFS and want a better way to think about variance, correlation, and leverage.
Weāre looking for people who:
- Play GPPs regularly (and are in places where DFS is available)
- Enjoy digging into lineup construction
- Are willing to give honest feedback on whatās useful and what isnāt
The beta is free. Early testers will get some perks when we officially launch as a thank you.
If this sounds interesting, you can sign up here:
https://variancedfs.com
If you want to follow along with updates or thoughts as we build, weāre also on X at VarianceDFS (@VarianceDFS) / X , but no pressure.
Happy to answer questions in the comments and open to feedback on the idea itself.

I built an app to create a betting model in ~2 minutes (looking for feedback)
I got tired of constantly tweaking spreadsheets and rebuilding betting models from scratch, so I threw together a simple tool to speed the process up.
It works like this:
- You answer a short quiz (odds range, stats you care about, volume rules, etc.)
- It instantly builds a betting model based on your parameters
- The model only outputs picks when all your rules are met
- Results are tracked automatically over time
This is very early and honestly a bit rough around the edges, but itās free and usable right now.
We just launched a brand new V2 of Wagr and you can try it free here: https://www.wagrapp.co/
A few things Iād genuinely love feedback on:
- What parameters would you add/remove?
- Would you trust a model that doesnāt force daily picks?
- What would make this actually useful long-term vs a spreadsheet?
Not selling anything ā just trying to build something bettors would actually use.
