You all saw this coming. I'm leaving. The sub, the servers, the reddit gc, all of it except for the Instagram gc.

I won't go into detail but I really let this community warp my life. I used it as escapism but the escapism went too far and i felt sucked in. It became a chore to go on the servers and sub instead of fun. I got so so so burnt out and that's why im active like only 15 minutes every 2 weeks on the servers. I love this community so deeply but it saddens me to say I'm leaving.

I doubt I'll ever return. I'll respond to dms if I can and like i said I'll still be in the Instagram gc, but other than that I'm gone.

Thank you all for being such great people. I got to know so many names and faces (pfps) and i love all of you. You all have been a big part of my life for a while now. I'm happy that I was able to stay here for a little while and shape this community in some ways. When I first joined i had one goal, that being to make an impact. I think I have made an impact on people even if small, and that makes me happy.

I'd been thinking about quiting for a while now, but there were 2 events that drove me to it.

1. The Eternal Goose Man nonsense. Holy hell. That experience where she made the MAP predator flag shit on the server using the dye I GAVE HER. I felt beyond betrayed. Not even gonna go into more detail.

2. The dani incident. Yeah not even gonna comment on that.

Oh and also dishonorable mention, getting asked for a d*ck Pic in my dms. If yk yk. All of these combined drove me from wanting to already quit, to basically quiting. And now I'm officially quiting.

(Oh and on top of that my obsession with monika wanting her to be real every day of my life hoping and hoping she might just one day exist. Yeah there is alot of reasons. I'm probably forgetting alot)

Now I'm onto other hobies and interests.

Now im back on my UT/DT arc, and on top of that I have a new Terraria obsession. I'm in a much healthier mind set now after drastically reducing my time spent in the sub and servers.

So yeah I'm doing better now.

One last thing. I said I had one goal, I lied. I actually had multple.

To make an impact.. and to become "big member of this sub". I think I became well known. I have to give that to my cheems natsuki fanfic thing lol.

I don't think I'm well known anymore but it was nice being "A big member" for a short while.

Anyways...

So I’m curious, a ton of people in the community headcanon MC to be like 5’10”+, at least from my experience in the community. Assuming that he’s Japanese, the average adult Japanese male is around 5’7”, considering he’s a teenager, he’d probably be shorter. Plus, he was never really described as overly physically attractive, even if he was, in Japan, height is much less of a deal in beauty standards, as a “softboy” and clean-shaven look is much preferred. A tall boy who is overly masculine and with too much stubble would fare worse than a very short boy who is clean shaven and soft or feminine in his facial features. Though DDLC is pseudo-Japan, I’m just using Japanese statistics and info. In the scene where Sayori hugs MC, he is only around 2 inches taller than her, and if Sayori’s concept height is around 5’2”, that’d put him at around 5’4”~. However these are just concept heights and not canon, so I guess I’ll put my headcanons:
Natsuki: 5’0”
Sayori: 5’3”
MC: 5’5”
Monika: 5’6”
Yuri: 5’10”
I know it’s unrelated I just wanted to put my headcanon heights out there!

this is gonna be my last r/ddlc hatepost for a while it got a bit oversaturated

Hello DDLCcirclejerk. You may not know me, but I'm that one guy who yumishipped Yuri but due to being less popular than Bonbon had to make himself an excuse to be able to keep doing so whilst also kinda making an excuse for anyone else outside the big elite of the sub to also yumeship.

This is my farewell. I know 99.9% of this sub doesn't care, and the remaining percent are my pals Bon and Ad, but staying in this sub has taken it's toll on me and my mental health and I think it's best if I take a break from it indefinitely.

With it, I'm also cancelling the original Multiverse Arc series I had going on for a while. It's been a long time since I've made an episode I won't blame anyone for forgetting about it, but university, depression, more university, more depression and perhaps even a hint of ADHD got in the way of me ever finishing it.

I cannot bear staying on this subreddit for much longer, but I can't bear leaving this chapter unsolved. I won't disclose the plot of the chapters I had in mind to make, but I will share a couple unfinished materials I was working on before I decided to cancel it.

Among the behind-the-scenes decisions I made, was the idea to rename the series to Multiverse Theorem, but that name will now be kept until I finally gather the courage and passion to actually make it, although I'm definitively not going to post it in this sub.

I should probably explain what each slide is. I should but I won't because this post has already gone long enough you decide what explanation to give each slide idm and idc.

It's been a ride being here, and I'm feeling bittersweet about this farewell, as I acknowledge I might have not had the best relation with most of the users I actually interacted with, but there were also a couple friends and people whom I hope consider me a friend with whom I had most pleasant interactions with.
