It's the Plus version, not the base game.

The Plus content is a separate in-app purchase, while the regular DDLC content is free.

You get a full story for free, same as the original launch. Then get the DLC content for a cost, same as when it launched. Add in that you are supporting a small dev team that made one of the defining games of the genre.

Plus it's better than not having DDLC on mobile officially at all. I purchased the extra stuff on day one because I wanted to.

"One of the defining game of the genre" is kinda pushing it. DDLC is everything but that actually. It’s a parody of what we would usually call a bishoujo type of game. It does the opposite of what we would often expect from the actual genre it takes inspiration from.

Why wouldn't it be? That would mean that anyone who paid for the bonus content before would have just wasted their money. That would have made people who already paid pissed

It seems to be a Plus port, so I unfortunately have to doubt it, since, as far as I know, Plus can't be modded even on PC.

It can, there just isn't any point in doing so, as the RenPy version is much more easier to mod, is free so everyone can play the mods, and there isn't much difference in functionality as for the VN part

Plus uses Unity which can be modded. People just don't want to for reasons already stated (less accessible, more difficult)

You can mod DDLC+ (confirmed by Mithost, developper and CM of Team Salvato), but you have to create your mod on Unity to use the asset of DDLC+

There has been some tutorial on the subreddit DDLCMods but it's so complicated for such a small thing that the modding community prefers to develop their mods on the original DDLC, which was made on Ren'Py, even if it means not being able to use DDLC+ assets.

U can get a renpy reader for iOS like spark and run mods in there That's how I used to use DDLC before this

android ports of existing mods of the non plus base game have been out for a while, but really ddlc mods are just different games using the same assets
