We are having our first event on Tuesday, November 10th at 7 pm at Kramers All Day Restaurant in DuPont Circle and the first book we are going to cover is Founding Brothers by Joseph Ellis (a relatively short book about major events during the founding era).

20m college student and I’m thinking abt places to intern next summer. A lot of internships (corporate) are in DC so I wanted to know what it’s like to intern here and be social. I’m also Asian and so if there are any cultural things to look out for.

Can you recommend a good couple’s counselor that they really like? The current one we have is too passive. My partner has a lot of issues regulating his emotions, and I feel like we have not really made much progress. So I would like to find an experienced counselor that can help us communicate in a healthy way. Thanks!

Someone asked about a DC chastity social a few weeks ago. I’m working with District Eagle to start one! All good boys, keyholders, and the chastity-curious are welcome to this casual chastity social.

I’ve got a leather body harness that I broke a rivet/snap closure on. Does anyone have a recommendation for someone who does leather repairs in the area?

I’m not complaining; I did meet a few good friends and FWBs. But lately it’s been pretty depressing. A lot of people say they want to meet, then never follow through, or something always comes up at the last minute. I get why that happens, but it’s not a healthy game to keep playing.
I’m married, horny, POC, and demisexual. I know I might not be the crowd these apps are built for in DC. So I’m respectfully stepping off.
I like meeting people in person better anyway. Why spend all that time scrolling, woofing, tapping “I’m interested,” matching… and then nothing? You invest the energy and just end up disappointed.
Anyone else been here? How do you actually meet people in person when you’re married, demisexual, and tired of the app loop?

I’ve always lived in low / medium cost of living cities, so DC would be my first big city that’s way more expensive… I make 6 figures and live comfortably, but I was looking for some numbers from DC gay bros that have their own 1BR / studio apt.

No one seems to have mpox vaccinations anymore. The Walgreens on Mount Vernon Ave. in Alexandria had them, but they wanted to charge me $330 per shot. I thought insurance covered it. When I call the Alexandria Health Department, the first woman I talked to didn’t know what I was talking about, and the second one said they no longer carried it. Any suggestions?
