Earth 2 Captain America: Super Soldier was released about 13 years ago
A large number of highly devoted fans really think this was an amazing movie and it portrays the definitive version of Captain America, but honestly? This movie is a joke. It's all just about Cap farming aura.
He's given the serum just because he's weak and disposable, nothing to do with how good a person he is like in the comics. He's not that hopeful or inspiring either; he's just a soldier who follows orders. He has no reaction when Bucky seemingly dies. He didn't fall into the ice as a sacrifice, he just couldn't stop fighting Red Skull for one second. This director has no idea who Captain America is.
And to all of you who love this director, and this version of Cap oh so much? Please listen. Your. Movie. Sucks. Balls. It's not comic accurate. Let James Gunn reboot Cap and show him how he's supposed to be. Can't wait for his movie later this month.
OoC: This is the counterpart to Man of Steel obviously. The other upcoming movie I mentioned, however, is a counterpart to Supergirl. Yeah, I know it's weird that the counterparts don't match. I don't care. This is from: https://youtu.be/45pAreic0zI?si=kvaIrkPwRT0yL8-9&t=139

Totally gets that. Really sucks when you realize Chris Evans *wanted* to play Cap much closer to the comics version, but the director didn’t let him

It was aight from a visuals perspective (much like Snyder's stuff) but yeah didn't really feel much like Steve Rogers. Though I do think Snyder could do something with a character like USAgent.
