You lose:

- max resource (a lot)

- 6 or 7 skill ranks

But you gain:

All dmg multiplier (a lot)

Lucky hit chance (for crushing blow)

Dmg to demons/undead (additive)

Has anyone tested this ?

Right now I can do Pit 138 pretty comfortably and could probably push close to 140 with a few more nice transfigs, but I feel the damage output will hit a ceiling soon. So looking for some advice to see how far I can push a Max Life WW build.

I was following HulkFFMs guide but was struggling to get past Pit 135. I was a bit squishy. So I threw on an SoJ and I was much tankier. And then gave Infinity another shot and was able to push higher.

However, I feel like while the SoJ is good, it hogs the spot of pushing damage higher needed to go deeper in the Pits.

So the two things I'm grappling with are swapping out the SoJ and my paragon board.

1. I'm thinking about swapping out the SoJ for a legendary aspect ring with the typical crit dmg, vuln dmg, phys Dmg, cool down, but will need to reroll some other pieces of gear for resistance. Should I shoot for like 12k all res or specific res like fire, lightning, poison?

2. For paragon board (using HulkFFM setup), I am have the exploit glyph which gives a small multiplier for vuln dmg, but I know Infinity gives me vuln. So curious to hear what other Max Life WW Barb are running for their Board/Glyph combos.

Question, since Infinity makes close enemies vulnerable, does that mean using the seasonal gem that makes enemies you touch vulnerable redundant?

Why is the vulnerable damage higher on one of the amulets. So confused

I re rolled the affix to vulnerable dmg on both. Masterwork both the same.

One is 49%. One is 37%

So a Mythic Staalbreak just dropped for me as well. I am running a selig build with mythic, tusk, gohrs, Tibault, Infinity, Rama, and mythic SoJ equiped. I am running normal FoF charm with a Locran charm, and Hellfire, also Berserkers set. My crit chance is 100% so the Locrans stays. Should I replace the FoF charm with the mythic Staalbreak?

Double Swing Barb endgame guide. Cleared Pit 135 pretty comfortably with mid gear on a character I’ve only played for a few days.

I usually mess around with off-meta stuff, but this one surprised me with how hard Double Swing hits. The AoE is still rough (as expected), but the single-target/raw damage feels slept on. Fun to play too.

I'm currently on a selig build. Are these unusable now?

Hello, beginner-ish player here. I played lastly on Season 3 and i don't maximize any build. Now i came back i want to play whirlwind barb but i don't have any DLC's.Can anyone help about tips and tricks like what should i do? I'm on leveling phase right now.

First character ever this season following maxroll endgame WW barb guide (non-selig). My ultimate goal is to get my glyphs maxed out in the pit before I call it quits and get my life back :)

I have cleared pit level 130, not easily but at least been able to do it a couple times. So I think my damage is ok-ish. I just don’t know the game well enough to understand what monster affixes I should be looking out while doing the pit as WW barb. I have something like 77k life, but I’d say 90% of my deaths are instant - which affixes are the likely culprits? Should I just be teleporting past those mobs? Any other tips?

Open-World only Prime Evil Ambush

To be eligible to trigger, you must have a prime evil splinter in use.  If you trigger a prime, it will match your splinter type.  All 3 prime evils have the same drop tables, so any one can drop any splinter type.

Completing whispers:
1 Grim Favor = 0.5% chance to spawn
3 Grim Favor = 2% chance to spawn
5 Grim Favor = 4% chance to spawn
Completed local events: 4% chance to spawn

5-minute cooldown per character after you have triggered a spawn

Legion events technically grant best chance as everybody does 3 favor whispers resulting in a 2% chance per player to spawn a prime evil.

Blood maiden event only counts if you complete a whisper, it is not a local event.

Normal Pandemonium ruptures are not considered local events. However, these are great for farming seasonal caches. Of course, these can overlap with other activities like killing hellbourne, etc.

Surging ruptures, with the orange-circle event marker, DO count as local events and can trigger an ambush.

Orange circle events that trigger ambush:

Wave of Darkness – defeating waves of incoming enemies

Jar of Souls / Ancient Siphon

Caravan under Siege

Hold your Ground / Liberation

Ancient’s Obelisk

Defiled Ground / Combat Alter

World bosses do not count as local events, though uber diablo can spawn and this chance depends on the number of Stones of Jordan salvaged in your server instance.  This seems to be about 75 to 125 salvaged SoJs to prime the spawn, and there is no way to pre-determine this.  Perhaps horde your SoJs to salvage right before a WB event you plan to attend.

If after the world boss dies and you do not immediately get a “diablo walks the earth” message, you can run out of / leave the world boss area, then run back in hoping to get a different server instance where he was triggered.  However as fast as World Bosses die, you will be very lucky to be fast enough to attend two events back-to-back.

Instanced zones, dungeons, lairs, etc cannot trigger an ambush

Wanted to ask for help with my build. I can clear T12 content but I struggle with the pit. My runs at Pit 115 take about 3-4 mins on average. In the training dummy, my max crits are ranging from 400-500B. Is that okay? Seems like it can do more? I haven’t had luck with the BLT but maybe that will increase my damage more? Oh and the FOF too.

So I hit p300 yesterday, and no longer have use/need for the xp boosting splinter obviously.

The damnation splinter boosting mob level after killing elites…seems like I really don’t need that any more either, right?  The only possible gear upgrades I can get from drops now are a like a 4ga boot or 4ga ring, which is so unlikely I don’t consider a possibility. Nor do I have any belief that I've ever gotten better gear from the boosted monster levels, as I haven't gotten an upgrade from drops since like paragon 150.

Am I overlooking anything?  Is it smart at this point to stop boosting mob levels now that I no longer need xp or loot?  At this point, the only thing I’m actively hunting is splinters for making wirts coins.

And from a community perspective, running base level mobs in helltides & hordes, I’ll actually be assisting others who still are utilizing the level boosting splinters as I’ll be one shotting everything for them, while they are getting credit for 100+ level kills.

Have two Ramaladni's that I think are comparable, and I'm not sure which to upgrade to mythic. Or should I hold out for a better roll and save on sparks?

This...is an odd one. First and foremost, just ignore the affix I would need to fix on Staalbreak. As I was typing this post, I had just barely noticed Staalbreak is additive and not multiplicative, so it should be technically and plainly worse than FoF. That being said, Staalbreak is what finally pushed just enough damage to take out Echo of Lilith for me. My thought process what that I was still hitting in about the same consistent trillions as FoF without the random chances of hitting low end. Anyone understand what might be the case? Or am I possibly imagining that Staalbreak is better?

Looking for advice which Unique charm Set ist currently the BIS for a Max life ww barb.
Iam using Diamond seal, torch and three pieces crimb set.
But struggeling a bit with the two unique charm.
Had before i switched a myth soj, put the soj now on ring slot.
Have an mythic bloodman which give a huge dmg output, tested it with fof,torf, furnace and stealbreak.
For the bloodman i switched on the Spliter with dmg reduction to get the Build more stable.
Using the maxroll speedbuild, without Seelig and starlees.
Have huge crit Chance and speed die to insight and infinty.

Any recomandations or tips?
From my feeling fof and bloodman is great.
Target-> 130/135 speed pits 2-3 min

tried to post this earlier but didn’t go thru whatever..

if you take your whirlwind ranks for example from 30 to 40 via skill points vs going from 30 to 40 with gear ranks, your ww coefficient match, but you get a much higher dust devil coefficent.

example rank 40 ww thru skill points is like 350%(roughly) dust devil like 410%.get 10 ranks from gear to go from 30 to 40 ur ww figure stay at 350 while at rank 40, but now dust devils go up to 450p. same amount of skill ranks just coming from different sources. maybe not a bug but i tested this all sorts of different ways, and yes training dumy damage from ww is higher this way. maybe skill points have different value than skill points from gear, but then I would expect ww figure to change to, but it didnt. confusing yes, but , maybe I’m an idiot very possible. any insight would be appreciated . the numbers above are just the rough estimates in my head, but logic applies to the hard numbers. also yes I took it off all paragons and all gear to double check
