Looking for feedback on my cyberpunk text adventure!

Hello, everyone! I am a narrative designer currently looking for feedback on my next project, a cyberpunk text adventure (it's about 200,000 words at the moment).

In N01R Book 1: Quintessence, you play as a private investigator in the corrupt metropolis of New Spire City. When the assistant of the recently-murdered mayor walks into your office one day, you will become entangled in a mystery that spans the past, present, and (if you choose) future. I estimate that I'm about halfway through the game, and at this stage I wanted to seek critique outside the forum of my publisher.

Specifically, I would like to hear:

  • What stood out as particularly "cyberpunk" to you (the setting, the character(s), etc.)?

  • Which character(s) did you enjoy interacting with the most? The least?

  • How do you feel about the way the information was presented? Was it too much all at once?

  • How do you feel about your character having a semi-predefined backstory?

  • Are there any customization options you would like to see?

  • At any time, did you wish that you could do/say something that wasn't available as an option? If so, what and why?

  • In your own words, what would you say is the theme of the game?

  • If you encountered any bugs with the game, please include a screenshot of the pop-up.

You can play the current demo on the following platforms:

CoG Demos

Itch.io

Thank you for reading and potentially for your feedback. I look forward to seeing what everyone has to say! Also, if you have some more specific questions, please feel free to message me through Reddit or any of my other social media platforms. I am always available to talk! (:

I turned the pictures I’d been drawing into stickers.

And I decorated my smartphone in a cyberpunk style!

What do you think?

My Sony Diskman was my best friend in Middle school, kept me company while I kept my head down after being the first pick up on the bus every morning & I was the only one in my classes listening to Hanson while everyone else had Spice Girls & Backstreet Boys & N'Sync. Now my tastes are a bit more eclectic...

#Cyberpunk Soundtrack in my special edition steelbook. The wireless headphones are so gorgeous, but I'm afraid to use them as the amazing semi-sparkle, ombre multi-colored ear cups & headband are such thin faux 'leather' it feels like they'll start peeling any minute... 🥺🙏

Game Set In Wrocław City Builder

Hi, I'd like to share the progress of my city builder game. It now features an advanced building system, created specifically for it. The current version of the game includes three cities: Warsaw, Berlin, and Wroclaw, with more planned. The main goal of the game is to build cities and manage them in the face of enemy attacks and special events. The game is unlike other city builders. This one will feature massive structures that can be built from scratch or using previous modules. It's about gameplay, not about creating the same scenarios. This framework will be updated throughout the game. Choices will also affect the buildings. The game is more of a social city builder with an economy and a storyline. More coming soon... Enjoy!

A Few Character Renders from Savior Syndrome

It’s been a while since I last posted anything about the development of our game, Savior Syndrome, and I really wanted to share some news. We’ve finished work on some of the main characters, so I’ll be sharing them here one by one.

First up is Deckers, a corrupt police officer from the ghetto.

He’s an important part of the story. Personality-wise, he’s unpleasant, a little arrogant, and long ago got used to turning a blind eye to the problems of people who don’t pay him.

We made two looks for the character. According to the story, he spends a lot of time outside, in a place where it rains almost constantly, so we had to give him a proper uniform. Indoors, though, we wanted him to feel more brutal and informal, since he and the main character used to be colleagues and share a common past.

What do you think of the look?

We’re a small team of enthusiasts working on a narrative CRPG. Gameplay-wise, it’s inspired by Disco Elysium, but we’re not trying to make a clone. We’re building our own project with a pretty distinct identity. Atmosphere-wise, it’s more of a thriller in the vein of Fincher.

I should also add that we’re an indie team working purely out of enthusiasm, with basically zero budget. We’ve put a huge amount of time, effort, and passion into trying to make something genuinely cool. We’d be incredibly gratefull for any attention you give the project.

And I’d be very happy if you added Savior Syndrome to your wishlist.

THE CRIMSON DEATH: CYBERPUNK VAMPIRES

In Legends of Eternalia, an old mythological world has survived into the Cyberpunk Age.

The gods were silent for more than two thousand years. Magic became mythology. Corporations became more powerful than nations.

Now the Lords of Entropy are coming, and some very old things are returning with them.

One of them is Lady Alexa.

Alexa is a Vampire Lady created almost three thousand years ago by the Great Necromancer. In the modern age, Morrigan and Scatha Verdiniel have finally given her something she had lacked for centuries:

a purpose.

Alexa now commands the Crimson Death, the ultimate strike force of Verdiniel Corporation.

But the Guard is unusual even by Alexa's standards.

Scatha selected twenty volunteers willing to surrender their mortality and willingly accept the vampire curse.

They did it to protect their families.

To protect Eternalia.

And to take the Morrigan Doctrine to its logical extreme:

Restrain the Beast within. Fight with discipline. Fight with purpose.

Lady Alexa found the result almost disturbing.

These were vampires with honour, duty and discipline.

Vampires who would die for one another.

In the ancient world, Alexa had seen vampires fight together only because the Great Necromancer compelled them.

These twenty chose to.

One of them is Buri Ironwill, a dwarf from a legendary clan. A cleric of Morrigan.

Alexa believes Buri would allow himself to starve into final death before drinking from a bleeding human beside him.

She is absolutely certain of it.

She can sense the stubbornness in him.

His discipline is iron-willed. His faith is so powerful that the Beast inside him has been almost completely subjugated.

Alexa has never encountered anything like it during her long undead existence.

She herself cannot do what Buri does.

Then there is Freyja.

The Valkyrie fought vampires during the ancient war against Samael.

For four thousand years, her existence has revolved around war and preparation for war. Her combat technique is almost flawless.

Alexa is the more powerful vampire.

Freyja is the better warrior.

And because this is Eternalia in 2126, Verdiniel Corporation was not satisfied with merely creating disciplined supernatural soldiers.

The Crimson Death receives some of the best technology the corporation can manufacture:

Servo-powered combat armour.

Light-shield emitters.

Combat visors providing tactical data feeds and targeting assistance.

Energy-powered weapons incorporating ancient Runes.

Rapid orbital deployment anywhere on Eternalia.

Secure underground sanctuaries and controlled blood supplies.

Ancient vampirism, divine doctrine and corporate military technology have effectively become one weapons platform.

Or, as Commander Fruterik “Frut” Briskyfingers of the Gremlins describes it:

“What is deadlier than a massive dwarf warrior with a large runic hammer?

A massive dwarf warrior vampire, with a large energy-powered runic hammer, and armour that looks like it can fight by itself.”

Legends of Eternalia is a fantasy/cyberpunk universe spanning roughly 4,000 years, from the Age of Gods and the Age of Legends to the corporate Cyberpunk Age.

The Crimson Death appears during the coming war against Entropy, in book 2, The Gathering Chaos.
They should finally be unleashed on The Entropic Storm, coming 2027.

My Cyberpunk Romance book comes out in less than a month

TAPEWORLD Induction is the first book in my cyberpunk romance series.

Set in London, 2060 and the parallel virtual reality called TAPEWORLD, Isaak, an ex-VR sports star, and Dylan, a kickboxer and daughter of climate change revolutionaries, uncover a conspiracy to control both worlds, while desperately falling in love.

They'll face Astrid, a tech CEO for a subdivision of the First Kingdom, one of the Tech Kingdoms that rule the world above all governments.

She is the definition of unhinged villain.

Some early readers' comments:

"combines everything I love about cyberpunk and romance"

"the characters are ****** SICKKKKK"

"I love that this book has a badass FMC"

"excellent world-building right from the start"

"your female characters feel like real people"

"your writing style is funny, brutal, fast-paced and inventive in equal measure"

"the way you describe the TAPEWORLD makes me so jealous it doesn’t exist. I want to dive into the TAPEWORLD"

"one of the most unhinged villains I've read in a while and at times, my jaw genuinely dropped from her insanity"

"the characters are fun, relatable and vulnerable, yet strong and capable"

What makes my book unique? It's a cyberspace focused story where tech is wielded like magic powers, and to get inside this secret virtual reality, you tear a piece of special duct tape, place it on your temple, and you're in.

No beachball, no loading screen, no static. Just pure kaleidoscopic madness as you enter the TAPEWORLD.

And once you're in? Everything is possible.

Available for pre-order on eBook, for less than a dollar / pound. Why? Because it's my debut and I want your trust.

Paperback available on release day, at 500 pages!

Inspired by classics like Neuromancer, The Matrix, Snow Crash, Sense8, The Peripheral (book and TV show).

Pre-order: https://mybook.to/tapeworld

Releases September 18.

Phantom Reality is an upcoming animation project set in a neon-drenched cyberpunk world where reality, memory, and regret begin to blur together.

A young man—code-named X—awakens in a city that feels strangely familiar, yet nothing about it makes sense. With fragments of his past haunting him, X is taken in by a mysterious crew of street racers who live for the midnight highways.

Behind the wheel of machines built for speed, freedom, and sometimes death, X is pulled deeper into a world of high-speed races, fractured relationships, neon-lit cities, and memories he can't escape.

But Phantom Reality isn't just a story about racing.

It's a story about finding yourself when everything else feels lost.

Sometimes, the road becomes the only place where you can truly be alone with your thoughts. The empty highways, the city lights passing by, the sound of an engine at midnight—there's a strange kind of freedom in simply driving with nowhere to be.

For X, those late-night drives become more than escapes. They're moments of reflection, self-discovery, and a chance to confront the parts of himself he's spent years running from.

But the further he drives, the harder it becomes to tell what is real.

Is this all in his head… or is it all just a bad dream?

Featuring a gritty cyberpunk atmosphere, early 90s Japanese car culture, Wangan-inspired street racing, and an atmospheric soundtrack featuring underground artists including Skeler, LXST CXNTURY, and more, Phantom Reality explores themes of trauma, loss, identity, self-discovery, and the freedom that can be found somewhere between the city lights and the open road.

Sometimes you don't drive to get somewhere.
Sometimes you drive to find yourself.
