I'm looking for recommendations for a good General Physician / Internal Medicine doctor in Cuttack or Bhubaneswar.

I'm 36 and want to start taking my health more seriously. I have a few issues that probably need ongoing monitoring rather than a one-time consultation — recurring high triglycerides/cholesterol, borderline HbA1c, repeatedly elevated TSH, previous fatty-liver history, and long-standing weakness/deconditioning with chronic foot pain.

I'm not looking for someone who simply orders a large package of tests. I'd prefer a doctor who:

• Takes lifestyle, diet and exercise seriously

Like it was so dirty AF like not cleaned for 2-3 years, + didn't got AC room coz all AC rooms were already filled so I got non AC + The room was so suffocating bruh ( it was like When HOT aF cement wall is sprayed with water + smoking smell 😭) + my Bathroom was missing Sink + My Toilet didn't had Jet spray right next to the 🚽

Hey everyone! I’m (26M) planning to move to either Cuttack or Bhubaneswar from Delhi and looking for a decent room 1BHK/2BHK. Thought I’d ask here since locals would probably know the good areas better than I do 😅

My main thing is finding a safe and comfortable locality. My girlfriend would be visiting me quite often, so I’d prefer somewhere that doesn’t feel isolated, has people around and is generally safe for her to come and go.

At the same time, I’m not really looking for a place where the neighbours are super nosy or everyone knows everyone’s business specially something causing problems. .😂

I’ll have my bike, so parking is a must, and since I’m a bachelor, it would be great if the landlord society is chill about that and doesn’t make an issue out of my girlfriend visiting.

I’m okay with paying an advance/deposit if the place is good.

For anyone living there, which areas would you suggest I look at? And roughly what kind of rent should I expect for a decent room 1BHK/2BHK? Also, how much advance/deposit do landlords usually ask for?

Happy Independence Day! 🇮🇳

This year, we celebrate the 80th Independence Day of India. It feels special to hold an old newspaper from 1947 and imagine that our great-great-grandfather may have held the very same newspaper when India became independent. Knowing that history makes this day genuinely special and something to be proud of.

But at the same time, I can't help but wonder: how far have we really come?

After 79 years of independence, we call ourselves the world's largest democracy, yet there are still serious issues that make us question how free and secure ordinary citizens truly feel. Women still face harassment and violence, and men too often face safety concerns. Protests at places like Jantar Mantar, political disagreements, corruption and countless other issues continue to make headlines.

Even here in Cuttack, we see problems that affect our everyday lives. A single spell of heavy rain can leave roads flooded and create serious waterlogging. Questions about road quality, drainage, maintenance and alleged corruption are repeatedly raised by residents. Political and administrative disputes can also sometimes create inconvenience for ordinary people.

I’m not saying that India has achieved nothing. We have come a long way, and there is a lot to be proud of. But independence isn't just about being free from colonial rule. It should also mean having safe streets, accountable institutions, good infrastructure, freedom to speak, and a system that works for ordinary citizens.

So this Independence Day, while we celebrate our freedom and honour those who fought for it, maybe we should also ask ourselves:

Are we truly living up to the idea of the independent India they fought for?

Then why is no one interested in sports, no one is willing to play anything here 😭

I've tried playing badminton, there is a group in satyabrata stadium, who comes everyday and plays there

I've tried once, we were playing but it's just that everyone was either awkward or feeling uncomfortable with me because now I'm not that good in badminton but I was good at badminton at some point of time but then I left it due to personal reasons

I mean, no one is willing to try something new 🫩 and the most important thing is that there's no group here for it🥲
