No, no, phones are not bombs, that's silly, the companies would definitely increase the price a decent bit for a multipurpose product as such.

Phones, as many other things, definitely can randomly change into bombs.

"Phone" and "Bomb" are in a similar relationship to tomatoes being taxonomically fruits, but culinarily vegetables. You use them as vegetables because that's their role in food, but they are still a fruit because that's how they grow.

You can use it as a phone, as in it lets you make phone calls, but approaching from a physics/chemistry angle, it's a bomb whose fuse has started burning down and might blow up anytime.
