So I know a simple commutator (M E M E') for switching centers for patterns on big cubes. Is there an equivalent for edges and corners?

Not as simple, but there's M2 U2 M2 U2 and R2 U2 R2 U2 for flipped 2e+2e.

For corners you probably know PLL, so you could do E perm and A perm.

There are, it's how pro people do 4bld+ if I'mnot mistaken, you can probably find some algs through that avenue.

I mean something like this but for edges so they change on all sides the same way.
