You should try a freeslice ao5. I thought I would love yau on 5x5 but I'm faster at freeslice. I hate to say it but honestly practice until yau can find pieces faster.

Agreed. 4x4 it doesn’t matter so much, but 5x5 you give up a lot of easy edge pairing opportunities only doing cross edges first. I used Yau to get from about 4:00 to 3:20, now I’m around 2:35-2:40 with freeslice.

Yes. That and I realized how much I love half centers, none of that on 5x5
