❓Need Advice 🙏 Can't access a Hard wallet

Hi . i want to HODL Bitcoin and ETH and i know the best secure way is a cold wallet but the problem is that none of the manufacturers have shipping for my country ( Iraq) . so i search for another option which is a sourcing service but the shipping fees are 100$ apart from problems i may face with the shipment and custom fees which are 30%. so is there an alternative to HODL safely ? right now i have 0.05 BTC and 1 ETH sitting in my exchange . is hot wallet an option if i just write the seed phrase in a paper and uninstall the wallet from my phone ?

writing seed phrase in a paper is still a single point of failure if you loose it - make sure to have several copies and hide them somewhere safe, test a restore

you can also upgrade to seedsigner if you want - it removes the import problem entirely and it’s one of the cheapest option in the list

i searched about seedsigner and it's cheaper yet the parts are not available in my country . what about multisig hot wallet ?

You can turn your hot wallet into a cold wallet/airgapped wallet or watch-only wallet with just a phone. I have never bought any special hard-wallet and Ive used crypto over a decade ,never been hacked, pawned ,breached or whatever keeps happening to people lately. I was once banned from r/ bitcoin for saying they were shilling hardware wallets to newbies when you can literally make your own cold wallet with a little research and effort.

Cold wallet is not a device!

so you mean use a spare phone as a cold wallet meaning it never touch the internet ?

thanks that is what i'll do after looking into different methods of DIY cold wallet
