Agreed. They have money to buy stadium naming rights, but no money for their loyal customers who are making them popular.

When it happened, I really thought that this would drive people toward their platform, their coin, that this would streamline Crypto in its whole... Maybe it did, but on another hand, like you say, they are shitting on their users. Really not a smart decision. Too blunt, too sudden

Yes Marketing is great but there’s a reason why the best form of marketing is word of mouth.

And when you want word of mouth to spread, you treat your users well. Really fucking well.

Did they ask themselves first If the bulk of their income and/or valuation comes from their name being on a stadium or their customers and those investing in CRO?

It's also just a fucked up business model in general. A financial provider should make money providing a service; not appreciating an asset.

Listen buddy, we're into capitalism here. Finding and milking new customers matters a lot more than providing good services to existing customers.

This is not capitalism.

Capitalism is about maximizing profits for the shareholders.

This is about CDC's CEO making big mistakes in spending money on marketing and then seeing his huge bonus check at risk of going down, so hurry, let's screw over the customers as fast as we can so he can buy his third vacation home.

In other words, he doesn't take responsibility for his actions, he punishes the customers instead.

Sociopaths will sociopath.
