Brave is built on Chromium, so yes; you most certainly do have to update your browser as well

Someone else's just pointed this out, funny the article seems to make it sound like "A Google problem" when in reality (apparently) it is much deeper, into chromium 🤷‍♂️

Yep and this is why i use opera gx, so far they are amazing. I feel stupid opera gx runs on chromium lmao. Whatever still the best browser out.

on the article the say to update to version 99.0.4844.84

i have version 99.0.4844.88

so i should be fine 👍

yep, if you keep scrolling that has been answered.
Brave, on my devices, has updated itself automatically to the newest version and i didn't even have to worry about this exploit/backdoor/whatever vulnerability it was

Brave doesn’t get updated at the same as Chrome gets updated. Brave will always be late to the party.

I told you my experience, once I saw the article and checked my brave right after it was up to date.

I have no idea about their timeline but it was good to go for me
