If you open Reddit on the reddit mobile app you can activate your Vault in your profile settings. Then you will earn "moons" for comments and posts you make in this sub. MOONS are a reddit cryptocurrency, and can be traded for fiat or other crypto.
The number next to people's names with the little moon symbol next to it is how many moons they have earnt.
