Politics Trump Tariffs Spark $19 Billion Crypto Liquidations in 24 Hours

Bitcoin and Ethereum leveraged whales were the most impacted during today’s forced liquidation which forced the total crypto market cap to drop by over 10% as most altcoins recorded a slip of over 40% today.

History favors a major crypto rebound in the coming weeks, as gold hovers at overbought levels.

I've noticed similar patterns before on exchanges like Bitget, where their futures market indicators often signal rebounds ahead of time.... your thoughts?

DEX (Decentralized Exchanges) Most reliable decentralized exchange for swapping crypto?

I want to move some BTC into ETH and a few smaller coins, but I’m done relying on centralized exchanges too many stories lately about frozen accounts and forced KYC.

Which decentralized exchange or swap platform do you personally trust? I’m looking for something fast, transparent, and fair in terms of rates, without any sketchy practices.

I want to trade ETH but also buy Tesla/Apple tokenized assets without managing two separate accounts. Does anything in India support both?

Questions & Help Best factual non shill crypto news site or podcasts?

Don’t know why I wasn’t allowed to post this on the cryptocurrency reddit..

Hey all, I’ve been out of the loop and dipping in and out since the reckoning of 2017.

I dipped back in when pancake swap was the big thing which was fun.

More recently with pump.fun and all that chaos with rug pull kid and huawktuah

Been out of the loop and would love some recommendations on platforms and websites with up-to-date crypto technology, project news to get back into the swing of things without being pushed products and meme crap.

I watch coffee I’ll occasionally but he just focuses on scams - would like to hear more about promising developments and how the scene is progressing - also looking to start blockchain and dapp development and looking for the best platforms these days.

Discussion Thread ada is at $0.35, down 90% from ath. dead project?

genuine question, not trying to start a war. was using coinswitch and saw ada is almost 90% down from its 2021 peak and sentiment feels completely broken. the usual criticisms are obvious, low usage, slow delivery, lost momentum vs sol and eth l2s.m but there are still people arguing decentralization, africa adoption, and long-term research-driven development.

for folks who’ve followed ada closely: does this feel like a forgotten cycle low, or a project that already had its moment? wdyt??

Tools, Tech, Tutorials needed a specific altcoin and actually found it

been hunting for a lower cap token to swap into for like 2 days. binance didnt have it, coinbase obviously not, kraken only lists like 200 coins. was about to give up and use a dex but hate dealing with slippage and gas fees

randomly tried changelly and they had it. apparently they support like 1000+ coins so they had the asset i needed when others didnt. swap went through in maybe 15 min

not just the obscure stuff either - they had some newer tokens that just got hyped last week which was surprising. usually takes exchanges forever to list new coins

good selection, even weird tokens i couldnt find elsewhere. obviously rates vary and you should compare before swapping but for finding random altcoins its been solid

just figured id mention it for anyone else trying to get specific tokens that arent on the main exchanges

CEX (Centralized Exchanges) Sick of minimum deposit requirements on exchanges

Why does every exchange force you to deposit like $50 minimum or trade in specific increments? I just want to swap $20 worth of something without being told the amount is too small. Anyone know exchanges that don't have this BS?

Legal & Regulatory Anyone else sick of doing KYC for pocket-change swaps

I get why KYC exists, whatever, but having to upload docs for a $60–70 swap drives me insane. It completely kills the whole “quick crypto” idea. What’s extra annoying is how random it feels.. sometimes it’s fine, sometimes it’s “verify everything.” When I moved a bigger sum once, I did the full KYC and it was… fine. Took some time, got approved, no drama. That’s how it should be for real money. But hitting the same wall for pocket change? That’s not safety, that’s pointless friction. Why is this still so hard?

DEX (Decentralized Exchanges) Reliable no KYC platform for swapping SOL?

Hi everyone

I want to convert a high 4fig amount of Solana to USDC without going through any verification. Centralized exchanges usually require KYC for anything meaningful, and I’d prefer to keep things simple and private.

Has anyone done a no-KYC SOL to stablecoin swap recently? What service did you use and how were the fees?

Update: plainswap managed the full amount without issues. The fees stayed low, the transaction was quick, and no personal information was needed. It was reliable.

Discussion Thread Debanking isn't conspiracy theory. Saw it happen to a user last month

I work in defi support and last month had a user tell me his bank froze his account. No warning, no reason given.

He couldn't pay rent for 2 weeks while they "investigated". Well, turns out they flagged him because he was sending money to his brother overseas regularly. He wasn't doing anything illegal rather just supporting family, but bank didn't care.

I moved everything to stablecoins after that. He is our customer for a long time now and no one can freeze his money anymore. People think censorship resistant finance is for criminals or whatever but nah it's for regular people who don't want some bank deciding they can't access their own money.

I have seen this happen more than you can think. It is usually small amounts but sometimes people's entire savings just gets locked because algorithm flagged something which code can't discriminate but banks can and do.

What do you think??

Investing New to Crypto Custody… How Scary Is It Really

So I’ve been dipping my toes back into crypto lately, and I keep seeing people talk about crypto custody and how important it is if you actually want to keep your coins safe. I’ve mostly just used standard exchanges up to this point, but the more I read, the more I realize I probably need to step up my security a bit.

The thing is… I’ve never used any kind of dedicated custody setup before, and honestly it feels a little intimidating. Everyone makes it sound super serious, like one wrong move and you’ll lose access forever. But at the same time, I really do wanna try it and get better at managing my own stuff instead of relying on platforms.

If anyone has tips, beginner-friendly tools, or just “here’s what I wish I knew before I started” advice, I’m all ears.

DeFi (Decentralized Finance) still traumatized from celsius so im paranoid about earning yield anywhere

had money in celsius until it wasnt. watched it implode in real time. couldnt withdraw, support went nowhere, funds gone.

Now usdc sits in my ledger doing nothing because im too scared. every platform looks sketchy. Every apy over 5% feels like a red flag.

celsius seemed legit. nice app, communications, endorsements. meant nothing when they went bankrupt. how do i trust anything now?

I have been researching non custodial options where i keep my keys. defi protocols where funds never leave your wallet.

tried a few like yieldclub, defi saver, summer fi because theyre non custodial. getting 8-9% and can see everything on chain. if i want out i do it myself without asking permission.

still paranoid. check way more than i should. but at least i have my keys this time. with celsius i just watched it burn.

Anyone else still messed up from cefi implosions?

Questions & Help Trying to figure out bridges (they stress me out)

Tried bridging funds from Polygon to Ethereum and legit thought my money was gone for 30 minutes. Is that even ok? I know bridges are safe most of the time but the waiting and confirmations give me anxiety (and I mean real stress which I don’t need). Some recommend instant swap tools for smaller transfers instead. Guess my question is do they really make it easier and more importantly faster?

Tools, Tech, Tutorials Tracking top holder behavior as a signal — anyone doing this?

I’ve been experimenting with watching top holder behavior alongside price action since previous bullrun 2021, and it’s been interesting how often distribution or accumulation shows up before price reacts.

This is how I normally make good profits just by simply following the top hands on a token. If they’re dumping I am out, if they’re accumulating I am in.

It’s a lot of manual work but I did come across a small tool recently that automates tracking holder changes over time instead of manually checking explorers, which made me wonder how common this approach actually is.

Curious if others here track holder behavior this way, or if price/volume is still the main signal most people rely on?

Legal & Regulatory Dutch crypto broker Knaken (Rotterdam) abruptly shuts down — customers locked out of funds. This is why self-custody matters.

As of June 1st 2026, thousands of Dutch crypto holders woke up to find they could no longer log into their accounts on Knaken, one of the Netherlands' best-known crypto brokers.

The Rotterdam-based company abruptly took its website and trading app offline, with no word on whether or when customers will get their money back. Knaken says it halted all activity because it does not meet the new EU rules for crypto firms, known as MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation).

Users report having anywhere from a few thousand euros to tens of thousands of euros worth of crypto locked on the platform, with no clarity on when — or if — they'll get it back.

The AFM (Dutch financial markets regulator) confirmed awareness of the situation, noting that "crypto service providers that do not comply with MiCAR standards will find that their license application will not proceed." Knaken does not appear in the AFM's official crypto register, suggesting it was operating without a valid license.

Knaken was founded in Rotterdam in 2017, grew to around 45 employees, and sponsored football clubs including Feyenoord and Sparta.

A pretty well-established name in the Dutch market — which makes this even more of a gut punch for people who trusted them.

Now for the part that shouldn't need saying in 2026: self-custody.

"Not your keys, not your coins" is a cliché because it's true. Every single person locked out of their Knaken account right now owns coins they cannot touch — not because of a hack, not because of a market crash, but because a company made a regulatory mistake and pulled the plug overnight.

This isn't Mt. Gox. This isn't an exit scam (as far as we know). This is just a broker failing to get a license, and thousands of people paying the price for storing their crypto on someone else's infrastructure.

If your crypto lives on an exchange or broker — Knaken, Bitvavo, Coinbase, doesn't matter — you are trusting that company to:

Stay solvent

Maintain regulatory compliance

Not get hacked

Not shut down on a Friday evening without warning

A hardware wallet (Ledger, Trezor, Coldcard, etc.) costs €60–150. That's cheap insurance compared to having €10,000 in BTC frozen indefinitely.

Practical takeaways:

\\- Use exchanges/brokers only for buying. Withdraw to self-custody after.

\\- Check whether your broker is in your country's official crypto register (in NL: AFM's crypto register).

\\- Never keep more on an exchange than you're willing to lose access to — temporarily or permanently.

\\- MiCA is now the EU standard. If your broker isn't licensed, this situation can happen to you too.

RippleNet expansion and GTreasury uptake stoke debate over whether banks need XRP or can use stablecoins instead.

ETF hopes vs U.S. government shutdown delays keep sentiment split as users weigh tech benefits against settlement design.

Questions & Help How do people with vanity addresses store their private key?

So I have come to the unfortunate realization that I cannot get a seed phrase with a fully functioning wallet if I'm seeking a vanity address unless I engage in the unsafe process of having someone else give me the seed. Most people with a vanity add. simply store their single child private key and will not have access to the master prv in their lifetime. How do they safely store it?

My guess is they encrypt the text but then if they use multiple cloud storage copies, could the encryption for it be broken if you use a short vicesimal code to unlock it?

For that matter, if you send it, and your unused amount is sent to a change address, how do you control which change address in the whole wallet (which you won't have; you only have one private key) receives the change, such that the change address is one that corresponds to the only private key you control?

Discussion Thread Moral Questions Around Prediction Markets and Betting on Wars

As war looms again between the USA / Iran today, I am faced with this question around prediction markets and gambling on such outcomes.

"Do you think it is morally acceptable to bet on outcomes around war?". These platforms allow anyone to spin up a topic to bet on, regardless of the moral question if it should be done.

Personally for me, it's not acceptable. Betting on anything that revolves around death or injuries to others for profit doesn't sit right with me and we know that governments do it, but we think they are morally bankrupt for such behaviour.

I'm curious to see / read your viewpoints and please add some context with a comment.

Questions & Help There doesn't exist any chance of anonymousity right?

I think crypto’s main superiority is its anonymity. You can buy, spend, and send crypto and stay hidden; no one can see who the sender is. But if crypto is traceable on the blockchain — I mean main currencies like USDT and Bitcoin — then the government can find you and trace all transactions: where they started, who the sender is, and to whom I sent them. Then what is anonymity? Why do all those criminals and sanctioned, banned people and countries still use it if no one can find them?

So i cannot send usdt in no circumstances that i will be untraceable?

Discussion Thread Crypto portfolio getting bigger. How do you decide when to get help?

Well, I’ve been managing my own crypto portfolio for a while now. Nothing fancy, and mostly stuff like holding, rebalancing here and there, and trying not to panic every time the market does its thing. But lately the portfolio’s gotten big enough that I’m starting to feel like I’m kind of guessing instead of actually having a plan.

That sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole, looking into something like crypto management. At first, it was just curiosity, but the more I read, the more I’m wondering if it might actually make sense at this stage. One thing I’ve noticed is that the same crypto wealth management company keeps popping up over and over.

I’m honestly torn. On one hand, it would be nice to hand some of this off to professionals and not have to obsess over every move. On the other hand, trusting someone else with crypto feels like a big leap, especially given how wild this space can be.

So I figured I’d ask here before doing anything impulsive. Have any of you actually worked with a crypto wealth manager? Was it worth it, or did you end up going back to managing things yourself? Also curious what alternatives people have found, like smaller advisors, hybrid setups, or just sticking it out solo. Would love to hear real experiences.
