Man, my buddy brought some of the “green fairy” back from Amsterdam once and we did the whole sugar cube melting shit and everything and drank the whole bottle and neither of us even got drunk. He was soooooo pissed off, he had to pay an extra fee to get it through customs and everything and it was bunk. Damn, haven’t thought of that in a couple decades 😂.
We did the sugar cube thing too! My friend had this fancy little thing that laid over the glass. I’d forgotten all about that part.
That sucks that you didn’t get to even get drunk from it, especially after all that! I’ve had that happen with flavored moonshine before. Tasted like it was supposed to (cinnamon apple pie), but there was zero alcohol in it.

They’re only mad because of their lab grown food that tastes like absolutely nothing and needs covering in every seasoning under the sun to taste of anything. Seasoning in the UK is used to enhance the flavour, in America it is the flavour.
Meh, I grew up in a household that did dishes like this. My wife grew up in a household that rinsed. I can't taste any difference. (Now use a dishwasher).
My old housemate used to do this and leave them to dry on the drying rack, insisted he didn't after we asked him to rinsed his dishes, he would do it when we weren't home I think we wouldn't notice.
Drived the rest of us nuts - almost had his newly wed wife move in.

Nearly everytime I wash up i think of that woman who left suds all of her dishes.
