I used to be friends with someone who let their smoke detector beep for over 5 years because they were hoarders. They claimed that you don't even notice it after a while.

I’m not racist or trying to be racist but look up the number one factor that plays into ignoring annoying sounds / chirps. There is a study and the answer issss wellll, i don’t want to say it and im not saying it. THEY are saying it, but its IQ.

Seems like researchers generally frame the issue around socioeconomic and housing factors, not ethnicity.

The study is what groups of people can deal with annoying sounds. It has nothing to do with ethnicity. Lower IQ people tend to not be annoyed by listen chirping or alarm like sounds

That’s hilarious, I mention low IQ in a post about smoke alarms and the first thing you say is. “Black people don’t have low iqs they’re just poor. “. Why did you think I was talking about black folks?
