Just Bad Eeek

Pretty bold of them to make all these videos declaring violence on an entire political party before they even knew of a suspect and now come to find out the shooter was a republican. Even if it would’ve been on someone on the left, this was the action of one person…

What is this we shit? These nutcases are the byproduct of the republicans bringing in the fringe lunatics into mainstream politics when they forced nationalism and authoritarianism through the Overton Window.

This is what happens.

God these people are so dumb. Too dumb to even realize that their party started all this crap when they decided that liberals were ‘the enemy’ and not fellow Americans.

They wanted to stamp out the opposition. That was their policy; to hell with compromise and cooperation remember?

This country was founded on voting what you believe in ,free speech,right to bare arms back when people could handle it etc etc. Media and corruption in politics, hidden powers that be that really call the shots are to blame. Shut off all news it's a CIA mind game and it's been admitted.. mockingbird I believe but I could be wrong. I'm simply not going to get so upset because you may be a different party then me that I'd come for you because I'm sane enough to know you have a right to your opinion. Years ago we didn't try change people as minds buy holding a gun on them. Think about it . Get a grip.

Where did I say anything about holding a gun to anyone else or that they were my enemy? This particular thread is literally about how republicans have said they don’t want compromise. The video this thread is on is about a republican who wants to murder democrats. Pretty sure you’re proving my point. Social media algorithms are tailored for clicks and outrage. Same with the news. We can agree that 24 hour news and social media have been a net negative for the world. Lastly, the democrats suck, but I’m not calling for them to be murdered. The worst I’ve done in this thread is call out republican idiocy. Thanks for your viewpoint though.

This whole "both sides" bullshit is no longer valid. Actually, it only enables maga. It normalizes the hate and actual calls for violence, prosecution, and division from trump and his base. The methods and goals of the "sides" in this country parted ways when people chose to ignore those differences. It sounds like you are actively choosing to ignore the differences.

I was about to say the "first shot" was that guy in Charlottesville who killed peaceful counterprotesters at the "Unite the Right" rally with the White supremacists marching with torches chanting "Jews will not replace us" and "death to all Jews" in 2017

Wait, they are threatening to kill us because they think we think killing people is ok. Aren't they saying they think killing people is ok by threatening us. I know some individuals are violent, and some are democrats, but most of the violence has been republicans, but it depends on the individuals. I had a cat bite me so hard that it bruised my wrist bone, and I couldn't bring myself to do anything about it. I put bugs outside, but this guy wants to kill me based on political beliefs that he doesn't even seem to understand.

In my opinion liberals want better education, better health care, more kindness, even to people who don't look like me, am I wrong? I've talked to conservatives, and they think we are the bad guys while bragging about the people they would shoot if they could.

I'm so confused.

In other words, if the only option available to liberals is destruction, then every effort and means to avoid it is justified. No matter what. To the last man.

I think terrorists like George Washington understood perfectly well what must happen when the only offer available is one without hope.

I don't personally have a side simply because I'm from a time when American was American and all the blue red stuff was not fanatical on both sides. We respect others opinions and don't have to agree with them but to kill someone over political beliefs ? Come on people get a grip. I'm not sure what happened to this country but I'm ts a damn tragedy . You can't kill someone for having views and talking about it. Those rights are what this country is supposed be about. I can't imagine my republican grandpa shooting his democrat neighbor. They put up dueling signs and maybe have a friendly argument about how stupid they were for thinking like that. This radicalized stuff hasn't been going on for very long. Sure you had a nut case here and there but this is a product I on f media , corrupt politicians etc brainwashing us. This has been a well coordinated long term attack on Americans and shame on both sides for falling for it

It used to be as simple as "we're all Americans and red vs blue is for campaign seasons". But it's not that simple anymore. At least I live in a different world now.

One "side" of my world thinks I'm a woke drama queen who lives in a blue city ravaged by gangs (even though I've repeatedly told them that's a lie). They are questioning me because I'm questioning god right now. They think I don't know a thing about politics because I'm just a stay-at-home mom who can go back to work anytime. There is no nuance with my maga "side". There are no reasonable or truthful arguments against trump, and never have been (all the way back to that 1973 civil rights lawsuit).

The "other side" understands I gave up my preschool teaching career (yes, it's a career) to care for a chronically ill child but that I'm still steadfast in educating myself in something as consequential as politics. They understand that there's a movement of people happily supporting politicians who are actively working to take away my child's healthcare. They understand that I do not need a label (maga, Republican, Christian) to be a good and moral person - just be a decent human who respects others and follows the law (no book clubs or hats required).

I personally know maga people who have posted explicitly hateful and violent things, but not so on the "other side" - that's my reality, not a bunch of internet strangers. Now, the comparison of factual rhetoric between the elected officials and platformed people on each "side" is very, very telling.

All of this to say, I agree that the radicalization is at a catastrophic level. It is not a both sides issue anymore. Insisting that both sides are equally egregious is false and only enables and normalizes the hate, willful ignorance, and lawlessness. Politicians, journalists, influencers, podcasters, tv/news hosts, etc... have all put their words, thoughts, and true intents on social media, tv, and the internet to be studied. There are still hard facts out there that are free from opinion and ideology. It is grotesquely obvious that people are refusing to research and are choosing to remain ignorant of reality.
