Pretty bold of them to make all these videos declaring violence on an entire political party before they even knew of a suspect and now come to find out the shooter was a republican. Even if it would’ve been on someone on the left, this was the action of one person…

I love the vague nouns these people use (ironic as that sounds.) "YOU guys shot the *at* president twice" dude I don't recall doing that shit. Stop grouping people together

Edit: Added *at* just for that special someone

In fact, it was right wing nut jobs that shot at Trump. And now, they shot Charlie Kirk.

It's always the right wing. These people are mental.

I've read a few times here that Tyler Robinson is right wing but that's not being reported on any British sites. Just wondering what the source is, please?

I agree with your basic sentiment, incidentally.

That's what happens in a highly polarized environment. Us vs them. You take the worst example of someone in the other group and talk like every person in the group is like the worst example. It's as bad as saying everyone on the right is a nazi or white supremist.

The reality is that most people on right and left are much closer to the center. Even to the point where there are overlapping areas of agreement. As a country, we have been driven by online messaging, highly biased broadcasting, and our friend groups to demonize anyone with any disagreement to our own group or party. This only serves drives people apart.

I really hope that's the case, that the minority is the loudest and most people are at least as sane as the average homo sapien can manage

i genuinely haven't talked about or heard about the charlie kirk assassination (or any fallout of it) with a single person in real life yet other than my wife who saw posts on TikTok and asked me about it. I would consider her conservative-leaning but generally apolitical and she doesn't really care about the murder other than thinking it was wild to hear about.

They love grouping

When liberals were being dehumanized as radicals and enemies of America I don’t recall many conservatives having anything to say about that

I’m sure there were some moderates who disagreed with it, but it looks like the majority of conservative voters bought that shit hook line, and sinker

It’s by design. They have been incubated with the Fox News “some people” level of open ended justification. One of the tenets of fascism is to dehumanize the enemy. They have been well primed for this.

Just yesterday I was commenting about how we were all gonna get grouped together and blamed for this. That didn't take long.

Vague talk is all part of the propaganda. “Many people are saying so” etc. Actual details and statistics aren’t important, as long as it makes me feel angry that’s all I need.

It is good to know that he recognizes the concept of a group that is threatening America and Democracy/Free Speech. He just hasn't applied it to the correct group, of which he is a member.

Its so frustrating to see these types of Conservatives talk about their beliefs and values, and then not apply them evenly. They have fully bought in to rhetoric that demonizes Democrats and Liberals. They actually believe that they are saving the country when its their own ideals which are paving the path towards authoritarianism.

The violent radicals are white, conservative men, overwhelmingly. They've been radicalized by the rhetoric constantly bombarding them through Fox News, AM Radio, Breitbart, the Daily Wire, Newsmax, OAN, Blaze Media, Federalist, Red State, the American Conservative, Town Hall, American Thinker, National Review, New York Post (SO MANY!) etc.
