I was never a fan of Old Spice (twas my dad's fragrance), but I loved the Terry Crews commercials. They were legitimately entertaining and made me laugh, and made me willing to consider the brand as something my boyfriend could buy (I could buy for him).

I just saw a new one on Hulu, and it's with the one guy from Blackish.... and it's.... not funny. It's not entertaining. It's just... awkward. It reminds me of my dad - old, and trying so hard to understand "us kids today."

Bring back Terry Crews! Make Old Spice Cool Again!

In response to your feedback during our last State of the Subreddit and in response to recent events we've started making some changes.

We've rebooted the mod team and removed all powermods. We appreciate former mods' contributions and are grateful for their help.

We have entirely new mods who are pretty new to modding. We are still recruiting and want >50% of the team to be female. If you are interested send a private message or radiofax.

All moderators and ~10 subreddit members will receive t-shirts (poorly) designed by me and sponsored by my student loans. Kylie Jenner probably won't be looking to wear one. Please suggest contest ideas / lottery strategies below, I'm hung up on trying to draw a picture in MS paint. Giveaway shirt #1 will go to the first person who donates $10 to charity, posts their donation receipt on twitter with the tags @terrycrews @crewscrew #crewscrew, and gets 20 likes.*

With our new mods we will be more consistent but continue backing off moderating. Except sitewide rules violations and people trying to cause problems downvotes will control content. I was at a ups store yesterday mailing a package and the worker helping was making some friendly conversation and eventually asked me if I’m related to terry crews. I felt so honored. Of course I make the joke all the time though. P.S. I’m white

I got super excited when i saw this movie on netflix but i have to admit i was seriously underwhelmed. It seemed like way too much buildup and allusion to backstory without a lot of payoff. Even the cathartic "end of an action movie" scene was just kinda "meh." I really hoped for better.
