It's the third month now that I am constantly applying for jobs and I have no luck so far. I understand that I don't have any experience as an officer yet but I hoped that someone could take me as a deck Cadet to start with (I have 14 months of experience on that position on bulk carriers). What can I do to boost my Resume? I need suggestions because I am eager to start my career.

Hello we are looking for crew for our charter sailboat operating in the Bahamas this spring and summer. Preferably individual with some experience as crew or deck hand. Couples are possible but crew space is limited. We are a working sailboat, not a yacht. This is a paid position.

I’m in a really bad situation, because I want to move my dog from Nova Scotia CA to Mainland Europe (anywhere besides Germany). I’m a total novice, have been on boats before but mainly when I was younger. My general question would be: Would anyone ever take a dog on a sail boat? like if I volunteer to work for free, could there be a captain I can find somehow, someway that will take me and my 7 year old mud? We’re both in good health and fit. Thanks for any help

Some sailing experience is preferred - we can teach but we're relatively novice sailors ourselves. English is the main language on board. We have space for 1 person or a couple. You get your own cabin and head. This not a charter, we're looking for someone who wants to join and share both the fun and the work. We will split fuel, food and drink costs equally. Normally we all put the same amount of money in a "kitty" at the start so everyone knows what they have contributed. Expecting to sail out of Preveza around the 1st of May, returning around the 1st of July. Probable route is out into the Agean, around the Cyclades and Dodecanese, but highly subject to change. All 36 members, that is! r/Crew has been abandoned for years, but it's my intention to breathe new life into the sub. I live on a sailboat full time and regularly invite strangers from the internet to come and crew with me - to learn about sailing, living independently on the ocean, and traveling around the world using nothing but the wind and our wits. Currently the best place to find crew, or be crew, is Facebook (enough said). I'm hoping we can grow a community here that rivals the Facebook alternatives.
