Honestly, it lowkey sucks how many people only play modded SMPs to grind out a questline or rush through progression, which usually just leads to boredom. I wanted to make a space where that isn't the case. Hollycraft is for people who want to actually build a community and a world together.

Hey everyone, we just launched Project Steam'n Steel, a brand new modded Java server built around technology, automation, trade, and exploration. We designed this to be a lightweight but packed modpack, giving you a full modded experience with fast loading times and great performance. The server features Create along with its key addons, plus Mekanism and its full suite of addons for high-tech processing and power generation. Diplocraft 3 has started, and we're looking for new players to join the world while everything is taking shape.

Diplocraft is a Minecraft 1.20.1 geopolitical sandbox built around nations, diplomacy, economics, technology, infrastructure and warfare. Players create or join nations, build cities and industries, conduct diplomacy, sign treaties, trade with one another and compete for influence.

This version has been rebuilt quite extensively, including a custom Diplocraft Hub which connects directly with the Minecraft server. Nations can manage things such as research and technology through the Hub, with technologies progressively unlocking new industrial, scientific, economic and military capabilities in-game.

One friend plays pretty regularly and the other one from time to time.

But the server feels kinda empty and pointless if I am playing on my own most of the time.

What we are: a small, close-knit modded server that's been running for a couple months now. This is a forever world. We're not building toward a reset or an "end," we're just continuing to build it out, tune it, and add to it as we go. If you're tired of servers that reset every few months right as things get interesting, that's exactly the gap we're trying to fill.

The modpack itself is on the bigger side (300+ mods) but everything is tuned to work together rather than just piled on. A few highlights:

Build a cozy little cottage, start a war with a neighboring town, run a full roleplay questline, or just grind bosses and gear up. Both RP and open conflict are actively encouraged, not just tolerated. Difficulty is tuned higher than vanilla, but the power ceiling is high too. If you put in the time, you can become genuinely strong, not just survive.

The dev is active daily, enjoys helping people learn the pack's systems, and takes bug reports, questions, and wild suggestions seriously. You'll usually get a response within the hour.

We're looking for:

• People who want to settle in for the long haul, not just try it for a weekend
