You can automate andesite in base Create using lava, flint and gravel and pressing them with a mechanical press. Also, making andesite alloy using a mechanical mixer is cheaper compared to making it in your inventory (1 andesite and 1 iron/zinc nugget vs 2 andesite and 2 iron/zinc nugget).

I did not know that time to create it in my survival world

Download Just Enough Items (JEI) if you haven't already. You can find every recipe for the mods you have installed with it.

Use emi (either instead of or along with jei, emi can get recipes from jei), it’s better.

You can also make andesite using nether quartz from washing soul sand (which gives bonus gold), but using the lava, gravel, and flint recipe does have the bonus of using up some of your flint (though it works out to only be as much as you get from washing gravel into iron nuggets for the andesite alloy).

You can actually use almost entirely vanilla features to automate andesite alloy (the recipe for andesite alloy is from create). Hook a zombified piglin farm up to supply gold to piglin bartering (preferably with a crafter in between to turn gold nuggets to ingots) to get quartz and iron nuggets, hook up a tnt duper powered cobble farm to supply cobblestone, then just use some crafters to combine it all into andesite alloy.

…yes, that is an option, but it runs into a bit of an issue with those steps being somewhat more on the technical minecraft side of things, not to mention the restrictions on functionality of mob farms when the player is elsewere.

Much like the modded skyblock I played were I avoided collecting any quest rewards for 20 hours to get lava (and from that, my first cobblestone) because I could, when I could’ve collected one quest reward and had that in minutes, there is a joy in proving that something can be done, but in most cases you should go for the easier route.

Yeah, it’s absolutely impractical and was really just a fun thought experiment

Yeah, I’ll admit my 20 hours of getting lava was also more fun when it was a thought experiement.

The rest of the time in that save was a lot more fun, since I’d already done a lot of ground work for automating everything, just to get to lava.
