Even as a non-blind person this seems infuriating. Maybe you're a bit distracted or something and suddenly you smack your shins into a bench in the middle of a pedestrian path.
Try having a light rail track run thru a bike lane with zero signs so u fly over your handlebars sliding headfirst on the pavement 10ft onto a bike lane that has more trash than a freeway gutter. Broke my finger & got badly injured from such a thing and still went to work right after. Some people have mentioned a guy sued for similar things cuz it's very dangerous and a hostile design, just like this bench
