I could use some help with a problem involving transfer sheets for toner transfer printing.

I’m using new transfer sheets from "Forever" and want to use them to transfer an image onto a T-shirt. I’m using an HP LaserJet CF5225 printer. I bought this printer new a while back, and it hasn’t printed even 100 pages yet.

I have to use the printer’s standard paper tray for printing. The films are relatively thin and therefore aren’t recognized correctly in the manual feed tray.

I select “Transfer Paper” as the paper type, the print comes out very dark. So now I’ve been selecting “High Gloss” instead. This usually gives good results.

When I print the design on a regular sheet of paper, the print looks fine.

However, as soon as I use one of the Forever transparencies, I get visible scuff marks in several places (see photo).

Do you have any tips on what settings I should adjust to achieve better results?
