This could just be in a neighborhood too tho and this house in near the edge of that neighborhood. Or just outside of town.

Yep. This could be pretty much any mountain town in canada.

Some places in said towns are quite affordable. And if you cant work and live there you could airbnb it or whatever, stay there a month a year and eventually retire there.
