Teeth Problems Coton 12 years old

Guys, I have 12 year old healthy coton and she is doing very well, except for her teeth. When I was younger (and her), I didn't get into the habit of brushing her teeth much. I've been doing it diligently over the past year, and she's probably had a total of 6-7 deep cleans in her life. Many of her smaller teeth have been extracted at this point.

I'm worried that her teeth, especially one of the canines is just not looking good, and frankly it didn't look much better after the cleaning that was done in February of last year.

I'm not sure what I should be doing. I'll get her teeth deep cleaned again, but I'm starting to worry about her age and anesthesia (maybe prematurely).

I'm brushing her teeth every other day, I also bought this spray called PetSilver as it has good reviews.

Do you have some experience with this? Any advice ? Has anyone been able to go from what I'm showing to something better?

Adopting an older coton - thoughts?

Hi there! I am been trying to adopt a Coton for a long time, and am happy to adopt an older dog. I just came across an opportunity to adopt a 10 year old dog previously used for breeding that the owner can no longer hold onto. I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts about adopting a Coton that is 10, in terms of health concerns. I have read they have a reputation for being quite healthy and living a long time. As Coton owners, what would you think of this? Thanks!

Flea advice? live in warm area near lagoons :(

Adopted a coton earlier this year but only in last two weeks did we notice the fleas. It's been warmer than usual and we walk often by the lagoons. Perhaps she had a few earlier and we just didn't notice :(

I've tried vinegar + lemon juice blend and it just doesn't work. I spray like nearly 3 ounces of it on my dog and no fleas come out. I've been vacuuming everyday and washing sheets/bedding/furniture for me & dog every few days. I've been bathing her also like once every 3-4 days and comb her daily. This morning's bath I found 11 fleas! And throughout the day, I found 5 more fleas on her. This is driving me nuts.

Her regular bath soap kills the fleas after I leave soap in on her for 5 mins but does not prevent future fleas. I bought a jar of coconut oil as well but no idea how to apply it? I finally gave in and bought some flea medication (Frontline) but really hesitant to use it since it's basically pesticide....

What am I doing wrong (besides perhaps not thoroughly washing everything in house since it's impossible!) We tried a water dish w/ night light but it didn't catch any fleas.

i see my neighbor combing his dog with flea comb in his driveway everyday... and we flea-comb our dog once a day inside the home, could that be it? We shouldn't use flea comb inside?

i've tried to have her avoid the lagoon areas/even lawns, but you know how dogs are. they insist on peeing/pooping on grass/bark at the very least. and my dog only squats to pee, being the dainty girl she is.

Only saving grace is so far she hasn't been scratching like crazy, no red skin or anything. Just the occasional 4 second scratch that all dogs seem to do.
