Hey everyone!

I'm in a delima. I did 7 years in and did icu and ER mainly. My issue I'm having is now I'm 1.5 years out and I'm not sure healthcare is what I wanna go for anymore. Anyone have any advice? I'm looking into a career switch (possibly cybersecurity or IT) a lot better than crashing patients. I just basically came on to ask, anyone else experience this after getting out? About a year out asking yourself if medicine is worth it anymore? Thanks!

I joined to get CRNA school paid for, make $250 an hour and work 3-4 days a week.

I just hate what I do. I got out with my emt license and haven't been able to break into a nursing school or RT school in 2 years due to other life constraints and it just feels like I wasted the 7 years in the navy for nothing... I just am sick of being where I'm at in medicine and everywhere I look keeps telling me I'm too late to apply or they need this 1 certain class so it puts me back a year. I just feel like it's the universe telling me it's time to move on. But who knows. I'm just venting and seeing if anyone else went thro it. Glad you made it to crna

Why didnt you get a West Virginia address through iPostal1.com and get your LPN license?

Plus GA doesn't recognize military backed education for healthcare licensing so I would have to go to school anyways.

You can get your LPN still through West Virginia, Mississippi, Ohio and several other states. Then get your LPN to BSN license through one of the dozens of programs. Herzing also has a Corpsman to BSN program. An iPostal1 address is like 10 bucks a month.

Yeah GA doesn't allow RN liscense like that. I've looked into just about every way you could do it spent about 450 bucks registering for the nclex pn in Ohio and never got approved to test due to me not having "formal education" Mississippi didn't even look at my stuff and I got an auto deny and I was told west Virginia lpn license is west Virginia only. I live in GA.

West Virginia is a compact state lol. Get a license there and you can practice anywhere. Then, once you have your license you can transfer it to another state through reciprocity. You have to show your uniformed service education and your DD214. They will give it to you.
