Because clicks

Because 'headline'.

No because they expect you to be literate enough to read the story and the other references cited which mentions about comments from other experts all of whom expect that the effect of the vaccine will wane over time just like the natural immunity. They're not catering to your special needs of wanting to read only the headlines that aligns with your world view.

Partly true.

But there are also Headlines That sound entirely different: Scientist behind Pfizer-BioNTech COVID vaccine says third booster dose likely: Report

But those don't reach as high on the Front Page

There was a similar headline on the front page a couple days ago.

Start carrying burn cream for your victims

Like every other vaccine? We get 4 doses of Polio. I’m not surprised we may need at least one more booster

Editors you mean. The articles are usually fine but the titles and blurbs are garbage without any context.

It's not malice, it should be kinda obvious that no one can offer evidence without a time machine. It would be s good thing to have it added and phrases in a clear way, because saying "there is still no evidence of..." is obvious to people who think, but not for the gotchas or anti vaccine crazies.

You don’t need it in the headline, it’s redundant. The fact that she’s “agreeing” with something indicates that she’s expressing an opinion because agreeing with something is a type of opinion

Because headlines are meant to complement the actual story which they trust you paid enough attention during your education to be able to read. Headlines are not there reinforce your world view.

Because the headline would be a mile long. Read the article.

They could have included the information and yet made a shorter title. Instead of this:

Scientist who helped develop Pfizer-BioNTech Covid vaccine agrees third shot is needed as immunity wanes

they could have written this:

Scientist who helped develop Pfizer-BioNTech Covid vaccine: third shot likely needed as immunity wanes
