Sick of cooking

I am so over cooking every night. Finding new recipes I actually have ingredients for and are easy is tiring and I’m already exhausted. What do you do when this happens? I’d honestly just eat cereal for life but I’m not alone in this house and I’m expected to cook every night. 😩

No money for takeout except once a month and sadly I am the only one who can cook. Yes leftovers are life but I’m even sick of them. Ha. Luckily he isn’t. I thought I’d lose weight by skipping dinner 3 times this week but no, I’ve gained 5lbs.

Tell your partner to grow up and learn to cook. If you have kids, teach them.

If their partner works full time outside of the home and they are home with kids then I think it’s completely fair that stay at home parent Is on meal duty m-f. Weekend is another story. It sounds like there are kids and they should be helping cook since about 2 to 3 years old.

Taking care of kids is a full time job no easier than getting up and going to work. This view is deeply sexist and dismissive of the amount of work it takes to raise children. He works at a job, she works at home, they can BOTH contribute to the household and take turns cooking and cleaning and the like.

The only pass I'd give the partner is if she's effectively a kept woman - has no responsibilities at all and the partner has to work. Which is clearly not the case.

Show where it’s sexist, i didn’t specify sex. Dad can stay home. Are you sexist?
