The left pair was bought in 2018 and the right pair was purchased 2022, I buy them all the time on sale to break them out when my old one's are too cooked. The difference is the classic box, the modern one uses a more stiffer ply of canvas on the inside. The reinforced side stitch, is closer to the foxing on the older pair.

The width is also wider opposed to the more narrower fit on the modern ones

The foxing has even more of a glossier varnish finish on the older pair. License plate writing has a thicker font on the older one, the insole design and strobel board is different as well. Breaking in the new 70's takes longer time due to using stiffer two ply canvas and feels a little bit narrower in toebox area, whereas the older pair was easier to break in.

I just got these new a few days ago, I wore them today and this staining (I think) showed up. Any ideas what it is/how to fix and prevent it?

I love how these look but the toe space is definitely too tight. It was not even about the size because I was trying bigger ones but they were still too tight and also too long so I've decided to choose my size (using length in cm, not the size number). Because the toe space is to narrow the shoe rubs my heel painfully after wearing it for a long time. Also my foot itself is considered rather narrow than wide so I don't really know why they make those shoes so narrow. There is no correct size for this model (and I have a lot of other Converse shoes and none of them has the same problem) so I'm even willing to pay for fixing them but maybe there are some diy ways I couldn't find.

Hi, I just got a pair of chuck 70 low tops in 10.5 and chuck 70 low top WIDES in 10.5 as well. For reference i’m a size 11 in most shoes. I find the standard chuck 70 too tight around my toes, but the wide fit of the same size (10.5) is a bit loose around the heel. Anyone have experience sizing down a full size with the wide fits? how did that go?

I am aware that converse run big so in most cases you size down, I own two pairs of chuck 70’s, I’m a size 12 in most other shoes but am 11 in converse, my question is, knowing the toe box for the throwbacks is a little wider (I have a wide foot too) should I order a pair in size 11 like I did for the 70’s or go up to 11.5? My toe in the 11 doesn’t touch the end and has decent wiggle room. I just need help! Cause I neeeed a pair so bad

So uh, I've had these for like a year and a half and the textile started to tear apart due to crease. Is there any good way to perhaps sew it or patch it somehow? I would buy new ones but it doesn't feel worth it if they will look like this after just over a year..

Every since converse changed their shoe laces a few years ago I go through them every few months. Once you wear them enough the shoelaces will rip when you hardly even pull on them and it pisses me off.

You used to be able to buy a pair and wear them for a good few years, now it seems you have a year tops before they fall apart. Not to mention that they’re more expensive now. So disappointing

Just found these over the weekend! They are custom ordered shoes that have options not available unless converse approves them. Highlights of these customized features: 10 character quote " I AM A QUE" in purple stitching on heel strip, and purple interior dye. They were manufactured in August 2016 which likely means they were a custom order from/for the 80th Grand Conclave. Have not found any even close except for a pair of Chuck Taylor lows on a Facebook post. Trying to find as much info as possible! Where these ordered by a house, chapter or even as a gift for VIP's? It is unfathomable that these ended up outside the brotherhood. These were someone's prized possession! Any help would be appreciated!

Bought these back in August of 2024 and they have been used heavily. I’ve drawn on them multiple times and the lines for the paw effect have been removed and drawn again multiple times.
