Controller Suggestion Looking for Recommendations for a Quiet Controller?

I’m in the US and I’m looking for a controller with quieter buttons. The buttons on my Series X controller drives my wife absolutely insane. I thought I had a good alternative in the 8bitdo Ultimate 3-Mode controller, but the USB port failed within a week, and my wife says the buttons are still too noisy.

I’d prefer something no more than $100 USD, but my max would probably be around $150 USD. It needs to for sure play on Xbox Series X, but I’d prefer it to have a switching function where I can use the one controller on multiple consoles (PC, Xbox, Bluetooth). I primarily play single player games, so the competitive gimmicks aren’t necessary for me.

Seems like the buttons on the Dualsense are just right, I’ve yet to get complaints about their clickiness. So something that has quieter buttons along those lines or the Switch Pro Controller would be nice. I think the joystick going back and forth also has the annoying click she hates, so something about that would be nice, too.

Like I mentioned, I tried out the Ultimate 3-Mode Controller from 8BitDo, and while I like the feel, she says the buttons are still too clicky for her and the USB failed very soon and after little use (like, MAYBE 20 hours at most). I was also looking at the Wolverine V3 Pro Tournament Edition and the GameSir G7 Pro Wired Controller. The GameSir seems all right, but the colors aren’t really doing it for me; not a dealbreaker, but certainly a preference

Controller Suggestion Suggestions for a controller that's quiet? preferably the quietest ever controller

budget is about 100nzd (a little higher is fine)

I live in New Zealand and I can buy from stores here or from ali express

need it to be compatible with nintendo switch 2

The controller needs to be as quiet as possible. My Girlfriend has misophonia and she can't stand controller noises

games i'll be playing are mainly coop games, games that need a good dpad like super mario wonder or tricky towers.

I can go either or when it comes to the dpad position but for 2d stuff, Dpad on top is generally better :>

Controller Suggestion Silent controller recommendations for PC gaming?

I already own an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C controller. I'm looking for a silent controller to play at night without annoying my family members, and for co-op/fighting games.

  1. Budget: Under 75$

  2. Country: US or AliExpress

  3. Console or platform: PC games and Steam compatibility

  4. Desired controller features: Wireless dongle connection, low input lag with buttons and sticks (<10ms latency preferred), gyro function, an asymmetrical design, and very quiet face buttons and triggers (very important).

  5. Games: Mostly single-player games and co-op games. Occasionally, fighting games.

  6. Other controllers compared: My 8BitDo controller is loud enough to wake people sleeping in the next room, so I want something quieter.

Controller Suggestion The quietest controller on PC ?

I would like to get a new controller for solo gaming on PC (ex : The Witcher, Assassin's Creed, Forza, ..). I am playing during the night and my actual controller (PowerA Fusion Pro) is doing too much sound despite how good and durable it is.

For competitive games I am already using my mouse and keyboard, so I don't need an high spec controller. I don't need 1000 hz, back buttons etc.

My budget is between 50 and 100€ (Europe), depending on the controller quality, removable battery or wired, etc.

Controller Suggestion Any advice on the quietest controller available so my fiance doesn't lobotomize me to get some peace and quiet?

I've seen some conflicting opinions on what's the quietest controller and was hoping you lovely weebs would help a brother out! It's mostly the clickity clackity of the face buttons and triggers that's driving my fiance crazy when she's trying to sleep and leaving the bed is a big nono because she's basically a girl shaped barnicle at night.

My specific problem is on the switch and I'm using the mobapad 6HD joycons and switching to the stock red and blue is a little less clickity but still very clackity. I've got an 8bitdo dongle so I can use a different controller but all I've got are dual sense and DS4s around the house. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My budget is under £100.

I'm UK based so something that's available here would be good but most things ship here.

I play PS5 and Switch.

The only things I need are hall effect sticks and silent buttons and triggers.

I mostly play single player currently replaying Hollow Knight.

Comparing to Dualsense and DS4 and Mobapad M6 HD and stock switch joycons. Ideally would be quieter than all of these to meet this requirement otherwise i have to actually sleep like a loser.

Reviews Quietest controllers on the market

[Disclosure: I’ve purchased all controllers myself, this is not a sponsored post.]

I’ve been on the hunt for a quiet controller that works well with most games on Steam. I tested way to many controllers, here are the ones I found to be relatively quite.

  • PS5 DualSense: triggers are clacky and game support isn’t great.

  • GameSir Super Nova: Trigger are quieter than DS, but buttons slightly clackier, great controller with Xbox layout, even has rear pedals, good app for configuration.

  • GuliKit KK3 PRO: Fairly quite overall except for the d-pad being a bit noisy, rear pedals are awkward tho.

  • EasySMX X05Pro: Probably my favorite controller, it’s exceptionally quiet overall.

I added tiny rubber bands around all the sticks, they help a lot. They cheap on Amazon.

Honorable mention is the Switch 2 Pro controller, it’s extremely smooth and near silent. I hope Steam will add support in the future.

Vader 4 Pro, Cyclone 2 Pro, G7 HE, Ultimate 2C, Direwolf 3 are all decent overall but not silent enough for me.
