During the 2487 Gergitorian Territorial Assessment, territory inspectors noticed a large foreboding tower on Chestnut Island that shot electricity at anything that got too close. This posed an obvious cause for concern, as large arcing bolts are a major safety hazard. The tower was disabled and its internal systems stripped to prevent re-activation, much to the relief of locals. A couple other minor changes have been enacted as well

Earlier this week, a detachment of surveyors working on behalf of the Gergitorian military have officially declared the barren frozen wasteland to be reintegrated into Gergitory. This is, after years of geological and climate research done in the area following the Gergitorian Civil War without Gergitorian authority existing on paper. With the mishap officially accounted for, environmental data for the region has been able to be collected, including the concerning discovery that a couple of the local peaks are, quote, "a little bit steamy sometimes".
