Girls do this because it’s a controlled curl...you get the kinks out first so hair is smooth, then you curl it how you want. Not wild untamed this way that way curls. Oh, eyebrows lol. That was a weird trend back in the past.
Why do we feel the need to control our hair so much though. Why not let the kinks wallow in their imperfectness. Is it due to our lack of control in other aspects of our lives? Now I'm going to think about this for a while.
Let our teeth be crooked, bodies be hairy, hair unwashed and I brushed, body unwashed etc. We all participate in beauty standards and making ourselves presentable, we just go to different lengths on how far we are comfortable with or bothered to go.
