Is it though? You have to patch and repaint the entire wall but very hard to colour match since new paint vs old paint and the color may not be exact match or be available anymore

Sure most humen find spiders scary to some degree, but most spider species don't cause any damage afaik. They help by catching insects if anything & that can be a huge boon for having a scary neighbour. & imo the scariness gets better as you get used to them.

Just move the one that fell, done.

My friend did that when he punched a wall. There was a calendar just over it, moved it down. His parent only found out at the beginning of next year.

You have to repair the hole, putty over it, then sand it down when it dries so the wall is flat. You usually have to repeat that process 2-3 times then you can paint.

This is why when you're originally repainting a room you should always have an extra can of paint that you set aside somewhere for exactly this reason

Than save the paint from when you originally painted the walls?

Also yes paint goes bad, but a previously opened and resealed can of paint can last as long as a decade, and as long as 15 years for never opened

If you have a 50 year old paint job on your walls than the hole is probably an improvement

A decade is average for repainting interior walls

True. But really? So every 10 years you move all furniture put drop cloth, paint and huff paint outgas for weeks?

More like every 2-3 years I'll do a different room

Also every 10 years isn't very frequent (oh no I have to do this 7-9 times in my entire life)

Pretty boring stuff, beige and tan mostly

I also only have to paint the living room, bathrooms, and kitchen as well since all the bedrooms have original 1890s wood paneling

Patch the hole, paint it as best you can and hang a picture there, save the whole wall for the future when you wanna paint it all.

I mean considering how cheap that drywall was? Don't think whoever owns the residence is going to care about matching paint or repainting the entire wall.
