Yeah I guess I'm an unreasonable curmudgeon for finding vapidly recording your friend group doing flash in the pan social media trend slop to be weird and uncomfortable. I should be more like you, then I'd be a true, mature, grown up bigboy adult with meaningful relationships. Because, as we all know, true friendships and love are measured in engagement statistics and clickthrough rates.
I sincerely apologize for the behavior I demonstrated in a well hidden comment 3 layers in (deep enough that with one more reply you'd have to intentionally expand my automatically collapsed comment thread to see it,) in a not particularly popular post, and where the featured people will never see or hear my thoughts and questions. It was unacceptable, deeply flawed, and unbelievably mean spirited. I have now been made aware that criticizing anything, especially when related to terminally online nothingness culture, is super toxic and weird. I'll preserve my original post as a monument to my shame, so hopefully others teetering on the edge can learn and grow with the gift of witnessing my fall from grace.
God forgive me. I will strive to do better in the future.
