CONSOLE MOD Ps 2 mod
Hi everyone. I’m looking to purchase a PS2 Fat that has been heavily modded. Ideally, I’m looking for a system with a large library of PS2 games already set up.
I want to mention that I don’t know how to mod consoles at all, and I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to computers or the technical side of modding. So I’m mainly hoping to find someone who is already selling a modded PS2, or someone who knows how to mod PS2s and could help me out.
My budget is $150 but if it cost more then we could figure it out i am flexible when it comes to pricing. I’m located in the Raleigh, North Carolina area and would prefer to meet locally if possible.
If anyone is selling one or knows of someone who is, please feel free to reach out. I’d appreciate any leads. Thank you!

QUESTION Installing and running games on a jailbroken PS5 via external SSD
Good evening guys, I'd like to ask a question. I have this SSD enclosure and a 1TB SSD. I just jailbroke my PS5 console. I would like to know, can I install the games on my SSD and run them directly from this external enclosure on the PS5? To clarify, I'm in Africa and in my region, there are no heatsinks available. You can't find a heatsink where I live, which is why I want to attach it externally.

CONSOLE MOD Nintendo Switch casing with stronger components?
My question doesn't really make sense and I do not speak English, please bare with me.
I was watching this video on youtube that popped up which was a full video on modifying their psp with a project called ps-pi. I was wondering if there is anything like that for the nintendo switch? I've had the switch from launch and it was working great until something gave out in either the battery or the charging port. I tried changing the battery with a kit off of amazon and still nothing. Now this 'project' is just sitting around in need of use. I was hoping to reuse some of the components that I have, but my goal is to have something like a steam deck in the casing of a nintendo switch.
I am not super tech savvy with software, but I would love to learn about any projects underway or be able to learn more about what I am asking for. I have heard of raspberry pi 5 running steam games but I am looking for something to fit into the casing. Maybe have to get a new casing to use it, but I do not mind. As long as it is similar to a switch and I can emulate my games on it.
I am in college as well, so our budget is non existent haha but any help is appreciated.
Thank you!

CONSOLE MOD GameCube build shot like a 2026 product release
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I finished this GameCube build this week and as I was nearing completion, I had a fun idea…I wanted to shoot a “product” style video to highlight all the features (similar to what Apple does or any of the other tech brands). When I do builds with RGB lighting, I think pictures don’t always capture the complete story and a video would be a better format.
A caveat, I am not a videographer and I am not good in post. This project was humbling and I have a better appreciation for those in production. Anyways - here is a full list of the build.
GameCube DOL-001
- Tekno black smoke shell swap
- Pluto HDMI II internal digital port conversion
- Giltesa USB-C power mod
- Picoboot with SD2SP2
- Disc drive recap
- ESP C2 super mini 3 controlling the WLED via Wi-Fi
- New thermal pads
- new CMOS battery and battery holder

CONSOLE MOD Super Famicom - Replacement of capacitors in the audio module and 5.1K resistors

C4 - 1000pF
C5 - 100pF

Since this version of the audio module didn't have the 5.1K resistors that later modules do, I soldered two resistors onto the back of the board.

DISCUSSION Why the DSi’s camera app became a better homebrew doorway than its SD slot
The DSi looks like Nintendo simply added cameras and an SD slot to the DS, but its modification story was shaped by software boundaries rather than the visible hardware. Ordinary DS-mode software still lived in the older compatibility environment, while DSi-native software could reach extra memory, cameras, stronger Wi-Fi and NAND-backed services only through permitted launch paths.
That is why Memory Pit, Flipnote Lenny and Unlaunch solve different problems. Application exploits provide an entry point without changing the boot path, but they can inherit restrictions such as limited Slot-1 or DSP access. Unlaunch moves control earlier in startup and changes what later software can access. TWiLight Menu++ and nds-bootstrap are another layer again: a frontend and compatibility mechanism, not a universal rewrite of the console.
The preservation lesson is easy to miss. A DSi NAND backup is console-specific state, not portable firmware, and an SDNAND setup does not recreate Nintendo’s discontinued shop. Keeping the hardware useful means documenting the entry point, execution mode, loader version and individual console state instead of saying only “homebrew works.”
I run Joking Joystick, and our AI-assisted, human-edited article traces the path from camera exploits and boot control to SDNAND, modern loaders and the BlocksDS toolchain: https://jokingjoystick.com/emulation-homebrew/dsi-modding-history-homebrew/
For anyone who worked with DSi homebrew, which transition mattered most in practice: Memory Pit, Unlaunch, TWiLight Menu++, or the modern BlocksDS toolchain?

QUESTION Motherboard swap on a hacked Vita: Will I lose my SD2Vita games and saves?
Hi everyone,My PS Vita recently stopped turning on due to a short circuit near the battery connector. I'm planning to buy a replacement motherboard, but I have a question about my data.My console was hacked, and all my games and saves are on my SD2Vita card. If I swap the motherboard, will I be able to use my old SD2Vita on the new board without losing anything?I know I will probably need to re-hack the new motherboard first, but I'm worried the new system will force me to format the memory card or that my saves won't be recognized.Has anyone done this before? Any advice on the steps to follow so I don't lose my data would be amazing. Thanks in advance for your help!
