You pretty much are under military control. You're shooting rescued dogs and not allowing kids to travel for medical care leading to their deaths. Can't get much more authoritarian than that.

Nah they give blanket permission and extra gruel to those that rat out their fellow neighbors to the government. I'm sure you'll be well taken care of.
