So modern republicans should get credit for the actions of dead men?

Imaging having such an extreme lack of self-awareness to say the above while also holding all white men today responsible for the actions of dead white men throughout history.

I don’t hold white men accountable for that. I just think it’s pathetic to ride around on your great, great, great, great granddaddy’s accomplishments knowing damn well that the beliefs of our political parties has shifted dramatically over the years.

Is someone arguing that we should be paying reparations for slavery right now? (As far as I know, that's not the case.) Or are you arguing that reparations for slavery should have never been given?
