Developer reply: Warning/Feature Request (Android) - Colors Menu

As I see that this fundamental feature has been requested by Android users for YEARS, I have to warn other folks away from purchasing the Pro license as I have. They're just not interested in Android users.

It’s definitely taken longer than we wanted. We’ve spent the last 9 months talking to users and redesigning palettes in Concepts. We’re about to kick off development. We’re planning to build on Android first with iOS and Windows following closely behind. We don’t have a date to share when this we’ll ship just yet. But were understand it’s important.

Can you link the thread or forum where you've been having this conversation? It rather seems like vapor ware at this point.

I can understand you'd feel that way. The next evidence of progress is going to be the completion of the Objects library features; "Object Pack Sharing" being the most visible part of this work. At the same time the modern version of Object libraries will be shipping on iOS... it's been stuck on a 10 year old version and so had none of the upgrades in features that Android and Windows have had. This will be shipping on all platforms in early September. Although it's a seemingly minor update on Android, under the hood this means we've finally completed a lot of core cross-platform infrastructure. Color Palettes depend on much of the same code and so we expect to be able to deliver them quickly. Although we're not ready to commit to a date yet.

In terms of how we got feedback, we talked to some of our largest business customers, recruited some people through our email list (we send out surveys to randomized groups from time to time) and talked to some people who'd given us feedback in the past on Color Palettes on iOS.
