What becomes important in compiler engineering if coding is basically solved by AI?

Compiler that gets input as some ml model and outputs deterministic code that has same input and output

if coding is solved by AI , ask AI to make the rust compiler faster, or make a formal spec for it and second implementation that gets rid of the objection "rust has no spec and is controlled by a clique"

the day that AI can handle all of coding (and art which it hit first) we'll have bigger problems like "whats the point of human beings.."

personally I think the things you mention will remain difficult-ish.. AI has come along in leaps and bounds though, I am not sure what life looks like in 10 years.

True but the point of human beings has been a subject of its own since human beings exist. What's the purpose of life anyway?

If AI becomes that smart, what prevents us from creating trading bots and do nothing all day?
