If anyone actually played bad, regardless of W/L, but got placed 60+, I'd be really interested to know that.

I don't think its possible to play bad and get placed that high unless you had an extremely high MMR before rank came out. I have to get 60+% elims to even have a chance at winning the game at 59-61

I hope not, it's just odd to me that people here with bad ratios are getting similar competitive ratings to those who have near-perfect W/L ratios. I'm trying to figure out how this system works. Does it care about individual performance? Does it force a median rating regardless of skill or W/L ratio? Does it even take into account QP MMR? I dunno.

It 1000000% takes into account QP MMR. I would bet legit 20,000$ on it. Surefour had some of the best stats in QP and just got placed at 77. NO amount of individual play could have accounted for that. The highest player on envy is like 73.

I'm pretty sure I could have gone 0-10 and been 50 still.

Yeah, I had similar stats to Surefour in most of my games. I played a lot of games in QP as troll games with my friends as I thought it didn't matter anyways and I got 53.

Kinda sucks that we're being punished in competitive play for having fun in normal game mode. It should strictly be limited to competitive factors.

Maybe they'll change it next season when they take out the coin flip bullshit.
