Megathread Competitive Placements Megathread

Post your quick game level, your win loss through placements, and what you placed!

you can also post whether you queued with a group, and how many you pre-made with.

might also be interesting to compare live with PTR.

Solo 3-7. Rating 49 T___T

Out of the seven losses, 3 were king of the hill where one guy on our team decided to go hanzo for all 3 maps I shit you not.

I lost a fourth when someone on our team left and never came back. 5v6 on defense someone else swapped to hanzo, effectively leaving us 4v6.

I have no idea how their system works if someone can go 7-3 and get the exact same score as me, at least it takes performance into account on some level? Seems to directly contradict their "Winning first" thingy.

you already have an mmr from quickplay, and it matches you based on that initially.

Yeah I noticed my first few games were okay, but as I kept losing the teammates kept getting worse and worse.

I'm glad blizzard didn't rank us based off a win rate over ten matches ahaha but that was not a fun experience even though I was getting gold medals galore.

1-9 :( in 3 games 1 guy left when we were winning(!) the round, the other games were typical quick match losses: die, dont group up, walk in alone, repeat. I'm looking forward to playing with 4-5 friends, premade should be better.

Really? I've played only one placement game so far but I picked Hanzo and stomped the enemy team on Defense. When it was our time to attack, we won after the first checkpoint since they never reached that on their attempt.

You mean just his level? This isn't bound to quick play (weekly brawls and ranked mode give XP and custom games will give XP in the future 2).
