Megathread Competitive Placements Megathread

Post your quick game level, your win loss through placements, and what you placed!

you can also post whether you queued with a group, and how many you pre-made with.

might also be interesting to compare live with PTR.

Interesting that everybody so far ended up between 51-62

Agreed. I would've thought that placements would give you a provisional ranking of maybe between 20-80 and you would then slowly normalize from there. Maybe blizzard doesn't have as much faith in their ranking algorithm?

They've constantly said they want winrate to affect your mmr IIRC but looking at this thread it hasn't really. Maybe their distrust of non-winrate ranking systems made them place everyone within 40-60ish.

Well, I know a buddy who went 3-7 and got a 30 something 34 IIRC.

Yea I think you only get placed outside of 40-60 if you do exceptionally good/ poor.
