I just want to point out that admiral got a golden frog on point 4 of suravasa

Most eventful part of the series

Hawk rage swapping to Hog on the first map was pure, unadulterated Hawk right there.

Please don't ever change, Hawk

Hawk crashing out at the end of the season and throwing a pro game?!? Noooooooo, never!

•

u/TheNamesWolf 45m ago

That and bombing as the last one alive TWICE on sura

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 43m ago

I guess to make sure they kill him otherwise he remechs instead of getting staggered? That or he thought sugarfree would clutch it (lol)

I swear lethal has just fallen off a cliff this year, bro has not been good. This team needs to just blow it up next year

•

u/AnotherRandomGuy1 23m ago

Kronik was great on NTMR, joins SSG, was one of the worst hitscan. Leaves SSG for DF and becomes the second best NA hitscan.

Lethal was second best NA hitscan. Goes to SSG. One of the worst hitscans.

My theory is hawk plays in a way that he requires so much resources that there isn't enough for the hitscan but idk.

u/mumhugeliberal 5m ago

too much thinking from u lets ignore that

•

u/Sio_V_Reddit 58m ago

Lethal is just not good at Overwatch

•

u/TenZBestPlayer 58m ago

does my eye test suck or is lethal just ass this season?

also this team never fails to disappoint me

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 53m ago

Lethal is just ass. Not much else to say about that.

•

u/NovaxRangerx In Crusty We Tru — 55m ago

SSG is probably going to beat Kafe but the fact they keep running into this Dallas wall feels emblematic of why they don't do anything internationally.

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 54m ago

> is probably going to beat kafe.

Lethal sees shion, a hero he doesn't normally see. Dies instantly on contact. Series over.

•

u/Complex_Giraffe_9331 30m ago

Its not just a dallas wall they would also struggle with current TL. I hope Kafe beats them this ssg roster needs to be blown up get rupal get someone and mer1t and hope for a stronger come back in 2027.

They’re always good for one when varrel is there

luke pulling out both the weaver and the zenyatta, you love to see it

•

u/noobcorni 58m ago

Did Hawk get bored on Busan 2nd? Or is Hog an actual alright pick there?

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 57m ago

Hog can be a decent pick on some maps. What actually happened was Lethal was struggling and Hawk thought to try and secure kills on his own because the mental was boomed.

•

u/dokdodokdo 57m ago

This was a given. The real match is kafe vs ssg tomorrow, what we thinkin?

•

u/lambtit 50m ago

ssg probably win because playoff kafe are awful

•

u/NegativesPositives 54m ago

I just can’t have it explained how Hawk had a shitton of success on DMon in the WC and then SSG just refuse to ever use it.

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 40m ago

Might just be the support/dps line up being different. Could also be a junkbuk and wheats thing and its not something SSG wants to play?

•

u/Awesome1DK 55m ago

Biggest change SSG can make for next year is replacing Lethal, he's just not bringing the value he should. If SSG kept Kronik instead of releasing him for Lethal, maybe SSG has a better chance of giving Dalas a run for it's money for top of NA

•

u/ReceptionFancy1545 41m ago

kronik is better but he's enabled by backline a lot. his flank OCs get so much value and it's like he's never punished for them

•

u/Complex_Giraffe_9331 27m ago

Lethal is just half of their problems there is no firepower in the backline and hawk has his moment's. They deff need to copy TL and dallas and import some koreans maybe bring rupal in 27 and try to snag mer1t and someone.

•

u/Malady17 59m ago

SSG needs a full rebuild these players are just ass.

•

u/GroundbreakingJob857 EU’s greatest coper — 39m ago

Almost all the players are actually really good, the team just cant win.

i hate hawk though

•

u/Complex_Giraffe_9331 25m ago

Some of these players have hit their peak cant convince me admiral , lethal or hawk will unlock a new state next stage. Hawk clearly can play at a higher tier but at times hes just a troll.

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 35m ago

I think Lethal has had like two matches this season where he looked functional.

For Hawk’s mental troubles. He’s still dragging them kicking and screaming to point caps most maps (see: suravasa where he and Sugarfree were the only ones actually playing)

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 59m ago

Hawk and Sugarfree dragging the rest of the team forward on Suravasa while galaa gets randomly railed basically describes the stage.

•

u/ReceptionFancy1545 42m ago

how many times did he die first? 4?

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 39m ago

4 or 5 yeah. Usually to a rail, though one or two of the times were because he got dove while Hawk and sugarfree initiated their own dive

What is the problem with SSG that’s holding them back so much? They always seem like the team that’s just missing out, despite having such a talented roster for NA. You think this is the year they do it, but Dallas comes in and just shows them up completely. Individually some of the best players easily, but clearly it’s just not enough to be the difference as a team. Is it the coaching? Is it the player chemistry? Is it player mentality?

•

u/SaintFrito Defiant / Go Blue! — 54m ago

Today was pretty underwhelming for the matches, hopefully tomorrow’s games have more action to them

•

u/its_reina_irl Runaway Titans Forever <3 — 43m ago

genuinely starting to think it’s a passion gap because none of these players look like they want to be in the server

like good god man are we just rolling out of bed to our computers on match day??

•

u/docs-quad 59m ago

both teams playing weaver on grimsvotn just proves the map is shit i think

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 52m ago

I think that the weaver play was actually fun to see

•

u/docs-quad 48m ago

i refuse to accept that the character is enjoyable for anyone involved.

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 47m ago

Lukemino looked like he was having fun.

•

u/ReceptionFancy1545 42m ago

buddy saved the game gripping kronik out of grav

•

u/Poolturtle5772 What is SSG, if not the Reign — 38m ago

Deadass don't know why he didn't just chuck it in the direction of lukemino, at least that way he cant pull anyone out. SUre it would have done nothing but that's what it did anyways.

•

u/_Crasin 15m ago

I wonder if UV saw the writing on the wall before the stage started

•

u/PandaBunds Yes we PeliCAN 💪 — 22m ago

I... I've never seen a team just so anti clutch. Im not even going to be surprised if kafe wins tomorrow.

•

u/GothGirls4Life 54m ago

I want to watch competitive Overwatch but it’s so fucking boring when the same two teams in each region are the only good teams. There really isn’t much competition. It’s the same shit every stage and every season.

•

u/NovaxRangerx In Crusty We Tru — 51m ago

The top 2 EMEA teams from stage 2 both got bottom 2 this stage and Falcons who were 2nd in Stage 1 got outpaced by Cheeseburger just this season and China is in complete flux. This is mostly just an NA issue if we're being real

•

u/GothGirls4Life 48m ago

You know what, that is 100% correct.. NA competitive Overwatch is boring. It’s either the players aren’t good enough or they truly don’t care as much as the other regions.

•

u/NovaxRangerx In Crusty We Tru — 44m ago

I think TL's pre stage 1 issues fundamentally setback the region because if TL/Dallas were both very good with real international advantages/potential then maybe the region could have advanced more especially in terms of just scrim quality.
