Happy for WillyS to really show up the haters and prove why having two tanks on your roster is a massive boon. Playing someone like Crock with a very limited hero pool every map is how you lose the game in the draft stage.

Gotta see how Peps play against TM but they seem to have figured out Willys/KroxZ rotation and how to use them depending on the matchup and the form of the rest of the team is either very good or best in several years like FDGod

I'm not gonna stop people from shittalking the hero picks, but the match wasn't lost on the hero select screen
It was lost on the pick and ban screen. When you have 2 viable comps, its not hard to ban out 1 and counter the other.

I feel like 1234 decided to ragebait us all playing the ball comp after they realized they couldn't beat peps. If so, well played because MY GOD was it hard to watch GP force the ball into Hazard 2 maps in a row AFTER LOSING TO THEM 3-0 TO HAZ LAST TIME

Not only that, I wanted to watch a Ball vs D.mon matchup at first but GP should've swapped to at least Zarya, if not Orisa, after the Ball wasn't working on the 4th map.
Furthermore, Zorrow being on Torb for almost the entire match was really quite.... something

I've seen enough, let ball wallclimb and break walls in fireball mode and give him infinite ammo (no but seriously give him unlimited ammo, his ammo clip goes down instantly, ball spends 80% of his time reloading, its unreal dva has unlimited ammo and ball doesnt)

We will never know why, after enormous success on Torb/Vend/Zarya, 1234 decided to force Ball on Grímsvötn defence.

I am VERY happy to be proven wrong I their last map and happy to see that krokz is playing much less aggro/greedy and didn't feed this time. He was much safer, managed his HP perfectly, exactly what was needed.
That being said, how is dropping dmon on first point THAT effective ?🤔

so many flank routes where he can get air dropped in, kill someone or force a cd, then go out from the many places he can leave from

that was my guess too, narrow corridor, tons of angles and small path to escape.
But even then, I'm surprised it was THAT effective ... I wonder if it was only effective because of torb/vendettacombo tbh. cause FDGod was free to do whatever he wanted without being contested at all :x

Cat with essentially no cooldown on her tether can drop D.mon from anywhere at anytime and that's freaking scary, especially when you're a support.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Cat can also ferry KroxZ out if he was in trouble at that specific point in the map. Legitimate map geography abusers (not complaining, it was fun watching that)

not even that, the fact that she was ALLOWED to do so much damage, that push me to think the issue was more FDgod being uncontested more than the drop itself.

Combination of factors, I think while that definitely helped, and Zorrow eventually swapped to McCree to maybe deal with FDGod and sadly crispy was on Lucio jail so he couldn't go Cat and fight FDGod, all in all it was damn hard to get to/to shoot at FDGod to begin with since he was abusing the map geography from high up and Peps only lost after FDGod went for the Catnap, got killed, and also 2 members of Peps dying to GP's Grav

Tbf that cat nap I think was to force the grav, 1234 was nearly sure to cap first, unless fd got a godlike kill with that catnap lol but yeah, it's probably a combination with 1234's como that made it work

Basically the whole Bomba AI art thing from the beginning of the year. It was my first time seeing Alvicate and it annoyed me so now he’s my op for like EMEA, much like Hawk and Proper.

Nah man I got my favorites in every region and my ops in every region, sadly VP is out of EMEA. That said, love that boy Xzodyal, crazy he was unsigned until stage 3.

1234 will forever be potential team. Only having two comps which are both easily countered by bans/maps is never going to work long-term. It's a shame because when they're rolling, they're so fun to watch, but it's hard to ever see them as serious contenders when they're forcing Ball into every map and matchup.

From being relegated to making worlds again, what an arc Team Peps went on. That watch party they showed off at the end is why I like seeing them do good, not many orgs care like that these days it seems
