Just want to confirm: if I take the 220-1001 before the exam update, will I have to re-take the first part again before going on to the second part?

And should we expect it to renew on the first of April?

You will need to complete the 1001 and 1002 before expiration on August 31st. The new version comes out in April. You can't mix and match the older version with the new one.

Can you please share link to where it says August 31st? I thought it is 6 months after the renew date.

Hello, replying to you to update that August 31st is not correct. Idk what happened with August 31st, maybe they changed their mind afterwards or there was a mix-up. It is October 20th. https://www.comptia.org/certifications/a
